Thanks again four! Yeah it's all really confusing with all the different meetings being held in different chambers and what not. I thought it was going to be in Tax amd Fiscal Policy, and it's listed there, but the live feed ended with the bill that was listed just before 539, like they either skipped 539 or it wasn't really going to be heard there after all.

Update-
SB539 was heard in the tax and fiscal policy commitee and passed 11-0. It will now go to the full senate. We are still in discussions with senator yoder and will be meeting with him later today.
HB1432 was heard in the poblic policy committee. It will be voted on tomorrow.

Ok, so for the politically inept (me) what happens when it goes to the senate? Will a senate hearing basically be a rehashing of what's already gone on in these other hearings? So basically the same thing, just in a different setting? And I'm assuming the senate is the final step to turning this bill into law?

Pretty much, the reading before the whole senate will be like a big committee hearing. Amendments can be offered, etc. The third reading, second reading before the whole senate is where the bill advances to the second half. (senate bill goes to house). Been busy at statehouse and haven't had time to post. I'll try to make time soon.
