Received the v-deck today, I really like it but c'mon indulgence, flat head grub screws?!?! Threw a 7 wrap, 3mm ID dual Clapton build in and it fits nicely. Still using the other deck at the moment though.

What's wrong with flat head grub screws? I'm just curious because I actually prefer them, I don't strip them nearly as easily as the hex ones. (Yes, I have stripped a flat head grub screw, don't ask me how that works but it happened.)

Ouch!! Just checked fastenal and I'd have to get em sent from Indiana with them . Very rarely has tri-city not had what im lookin for but they're an hour from my house....yay!!!! Mail man is here!!!!!

I just prefer hex, the flat heads worked fine though and I'm sure it won't bother most people. The slots on these screws are so tiny that I can def see them stripping over time. I actually slipped a few times on the first build. I have very unsteady hands, so grub screws make it a little easier for me since the tool stays in place once inserted.

I bought my SS grub screw off EBay. I bought them for another rda, and now used some on my MT. I much prefer grubs. I've never stripped one yet. If you have cheap drivers, I can see the tips getting worn and somewhat rounded, but I bought 3 sizes of Hudy drivers and they are still as perfect as the day I bought them.

At least theres 2 fulls sets of the screws in the box for the v deck...but I def dont have any that small in my box of vape goodies lol.

Sadly...the post holes are a shade smaller on the v deck which I do find a lil surprising.

I was thinking about a stumpy or a haze but it's difficult to find them.

Element Mods has the latest Stumpy run out now. I get mine from Catfish Atty Mods here on the forum as he takes the stock ones and makes them into bottom feeders.

These days I mostly swap between velocity and atty3..occasionaly I dust off the fishbone too.
