@MMW I tried out the single coil adapter tonight. I didn't do a new build, just took one coil out, so its a single 8 wrap 24g 3mm ID coil now. Running it around 35w, its working correctly, but I definitely prefer the dual coil condig, at least with this build. I think it could definitely be better with a nicer single coil build, parallel, twisted wire, fused Clapton, etc, but I was mainly trying it out for proof of concept.

Well I got my 22g Dual coils 3mm id 5 wraps in yesterday. Ohms out at .22, and running it at 75 watts is freaking GREAT! Finally getting performance on par with my crown, but I can rebuild this thing easily rather than having to buy new coil heads for the crown!

By any chance - anyone find out what size grub screws this monster can take?

Thanks in advance

I'm on my way home from work now, I called the girlfriend though and it is sitting at my house waiting for me. I can't wait to get my hands on it. Now I just have to figure out what build to put in it. Any suggestions?

What is your mod? I would suggest a dual 26g for starts. Let us know how it's going. Remember that this thing loves a nice wick!! Wooioooooo!

Had to ditch the stock drip tip... way to short for my liking. I got a wide bore friction fit Delrin once from Cherry vapes a while ago and love it. it is friction fit so there are no o-rings and because of that the inner bore is able to be wider. had it on my crown, but its now on my Mutation. I ordered a new one this morning so Ill soon have one back on teh crown. Really love the delrin tips as they don't get the lip funk on them.

What I found best for wicking was for coils that are 3mm wide, I cut a strip of KGD that is about twice the width of my coils, take the outer skins off (no clue if this does anything, its just my method to my madness), and gently roll it on my pants to make it a loose log. thread through the coil... Now here is where its different from MOST rda's, I have to have the cotton kinda tight in the coil.... then I wet the wick in the coil and about 3/4 inch past it both ways. using a bent paperclip I poke and prod the wet wick into the juice slots until they stay and I can thread the top on over the Deck. Snip the wicks about 1/16th or just a smidgen longer from the juice wells and then gently poke them back so they are flush with the edges of the holes. screw on the glass portion and fill it up. Haven't had a leak or dry hit when doing it this way.
