Advken Ωega update: I finally managed to empty the tank-- it was harsh, took a while-- and broke the tank open to trim the wick tails. Previously I had filled the channels below the deck with as much (wet) wick as I could get in them below the deck, exactly as I would have wicked my Fogger V6s. I took the tails out of the channels, cut them vertically about 1/3-2/3, and trimmed the 2/3rds section flush with the deck, then reassembled. She's wicking like gangbusters now, small bubbles streaming every hit, and the harshness is gone. I am forced to assume it was dry-ish hits that were hurting my throat. I'm getting good cloud and much better flavor now. I have been able to open the air up all the way and raise the temp back to my preferred 450 deg without coughing. We were discussing big chimneys yesterday. I have to say this little beast has one. The barrel is constant diameter until it necks abruptly at the top of the tank to mate with the lower top cap. I forgot to measure when I had it open, but I will guess it's about 5mm ID at the barrel/top cap threads. It looks to be a shade smaller than my Lemo2s, and those are 6mm. Unlike the MT, there is no press-fit at the barrel/chimney juncture (not that I have had a problem on any of mine); the barrel/chimney is machined as a single part, threaded for the deck at the bottom and the lower top cap at the top. It doesn't actually have a chimney, really; the barrel goes all the way up.
Now I can actually vape the silly thing, here's a side-by-side with the MT. The differences between them are the MT is on the RX200, the Ωmega is on the Koopor Plus. The MT is loaded with my DIY Peppermint, the Ωmega with my DIY Clove. Both tanks are coiled dual parallel SS 28ga, 3.5mm ID, shooting for .10Ω (the RX measures the MT at .11, the Koopor the Ωmega at .14). Both are wicked rayon, but the MT has a lot more wick due to the "Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge" juice channels. Both mods are set to 450deg, 60 w. The Koopor is on "normal" boost. I can't remember if the RX has a selectable boost function, but if it does I would have picked normal there also. Frankly, it's not easy to tell them apart. I might be getting slightly better cloud with the Ωega due to the big chimney, flavor is about equal. I had no trouble building either deck. The MT is a 4-post design with big wire holes, but the Ωega, while only two post-two holes, has "Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge" wire holes in them; you could put in double super extra Clapton Flat Monkey Twisted Caterpillar Left Handed monsters and still have enough post hole room for a small anchor chain. I can't say as I recommend it above the MT. I think I like the MT better, but not by much and perhaps only because I have more experience with them. FWIW, the MT is slightly bigger, and the Ωega has a "busier" design, with bold knurling on the AFC ring and upper top cap, accent dimples on the lower top cap, and two different diameter of heat dissipation fins on the drip tip mounting and drip tip itself. Air flow between them is very even. I don't have the lungs for super-high-watt
vaping, but just guessing the MT would be a better choice in that regimen because of the juice channels. The channels in the Ωega, however, are not small. Now I have it wicked more or less correctly, I can't get a dry hit on it in half a tank
vaping where I do. So, bottom line, I don't recommend it above the MT, but I can say it makes a nice addition to the collection and I don't mind using it in preference to another (still NIB, never built) MT I happen to have laying around.
