Close enough, dada. On a regulated mod like the RX, technically, the coil value is not important. The amp load is controlled by the watts you set divided by the voltage the batteries supply to the board (plus 5ish% or so for I^2R losses on the board). The RX kicks batteries out at about 3.5v, and is a series mod, so minimum supplied volts (and thus maximum amps) is ~10.5v. Thus, amp load on the batteries at 80 watts, regardless of coil value, is roughly 7.6A, plus board losses. Any of the common 20A batteries will tolerate this with ease. I wouldn't worry about moving up to VTC4s, or whatever, unless you're going to routinely vape 150 watts or better, although those batteries will always provide a thicker safety margin. So what I've picked up so far as long as I'm using 20A named verified brand batts the only real choice is mah? see a couple of minutes of life or whatever aren't going to make that much difference to me! All I care most about is safety! That's why I bought an RX200 & LG HG2's! Running at 80w with a .35ohm TFV4 Clapton from what I understand from all the good info I've read in this forum in general I feell reasonably safe! Is this feeling correct?
