I prefer the FDV just because soldering the pos wire on is easier. the hole in the bottom of the post is a bit wider. also I use the FDV V4 Short in my RXs. I will be opening another RX tonight or tomorrow to retrofit it for someone on this forum and I may pop a varitube out of one of my other mods just to see how it would fit length wise. The bottom of the 510 is pretty close to the board inside. off the cuff i dont think it would touch anything or cause issues, but I will double check and add something to my other thread about it.

Was just looking on fdv...Was looking at the v4 lp and the short is is 12.5 mm to the bottom of the nut not including the lower part of the solder joint? But that copper v4 lp does look pretty smexy....
I'm not looking at it, but I think it's 12.5 overall and 10 on the shaft. It's the shaft length that counts. The positive contact is longer, but there's a void in the mod for it. You only have to gnaw the battery sled for the shaft itself.
Can anyone else picture a "burnt orange" aka copper rx with a copper 510 now lol. Was thinking of doing my doors red and going black 510/body. Seeing the new pic on vapenw of the red/black and all white though plus the copper v4 I'm kinda leabing towards doing the copper to be different...The "modding" part is one side of this hobby I've not ventured to yet other then coming up with the guy fawkes pic I want to use for the ipv.

It does look good black and red thats for sure. Not to keen on the all white though. Wish they would've done the black and white instead I think. Or even the red and white like a 69 ss camaro....hmmmm now that'd be smexy too.

The red and black definitely looks good.I got a red and black sleeve for mine as soon as i got the mod haha.
There was a place a while back,can't remember who it was,but they had all the color combo's on the mod,red/black,red/white,teal/black,black/white,and then the 2 standard ones.They were quite a bit more expensive than vapenw though,i think they were selling them for like $60 or so,i almost jumped on the black/white though,reminds me of a storm trooper haha.
