Ok put a 8 wrap 24 gauge dual coil and it's ohm at .5 I don't see how it's that high and I packed it full of rayon. I hit it at 40 watts and no dry hits. The tank gets hot fast and the drip tip is a bit short if you ask me. I'm using a 70/30 blend and not really getting the clouds I was expecting.... oh well...maybe it's my build..I wrapped it on a 1/8 drill bit.

Any advice?

I was expecting more from this tank :(
At 40 watts it shouldn't be hot unless you've got the airflow semi closed off.

Ive got 7 wrap 26g 32g Clapton coils 3mm inner diameter in mine and I Vape at 80 watts and it doesn't get hot wide open. I got a wide bore drip tip today and now I'm up to 100 watts and blowing huge clouds.

The wicking and your coils spanning the whole air hole is the trick with this tank.

Well I switched out the drip tip for a wide bore delrin and I've went through about a tank now and the flavor has improved and the clouds are ok at 40 watts.
It got hot because I was chain vaping.
I think it might be at .5 ohm because I think I put and extra wrap in there. I was frustrated because one of the screws kept backing out on me so I kind of just threw it together.
Lost my patience and my vision was blurry...
The coil covers the air hole and I had to move them around a bit to get the chimney on without the coils touching.

Overall though it's a good tank..I'm just not that good of a builder..

The coil was wrapped on a 1/8 so that's at 3.1mm inner diameter

I've had zero leaking issues.

Sure thing I'm at work right now but when I get home I'll make up a bunch of alien wire, then pm you. I just got a couple thousand feet of kanthal from lighting vapes so I've been having all kinds of fun making crazy coils

These rta's are great for practice building coils. I like the challenge of fitting a huge coil in my rta, the clouds make it worth it.

My friend just got one of these today and I've been helping her with her wicking and coils.

She was trying to do a 7 wrap on a 2.4mm but with 24gauge kanthal at 80+ watts and it wasn't working lol

I really like this tank. To much cotton is just enough at 45 watts

Awesome! Yeah I'm usually at 45-55w on this RTA. You'll figure out your own sweet spot with it soon enough. Right balance. This is my go to. Love the air and the fact that I can restrict it for more flavor. I'm barely ever running it over halfway or throwing watts at it.

Wish I could say the same, I'm wide open and at 100 watts right now. Time to buy another set of batteries because I'm gonna go thru them fast

That's the beauty of this stuff bman! We all have our sweet spots. I'm not a cloud chucker but I like to see and taste the dense warm fog. I dig the fact that we all have different reasons we love this tank!

Speaking of high wattage while at work I was using my dripper because I put a new build in to test it then put my mt tank back on and thought to my self wow that's a warm vape but kept on only to realize it was up to 80 watts lol I normally vape at 50 but forgot to switch it back. I must say I actually enjoyed it lol. I would of never pushed it that high on my own. Might try it again though haha:evil:

I saw post a couple pages back about smok mod issues, I'm not offended or anything, but I've been totally satisfied with my x cube 2 that I've been rocking for a while, I know it's not "premium" gear, but to be honest the neon lightbar is pretty freaking cool, and the mod works well for me!! Just my 2cents!!!

I'm glad you like your mod :). I just have a hard time trusting them due to their rocky (or should I say fiery?) history. That doesn't mean they didn't get things right this time. I have 3 istick 50W, which became known for bad behavior as well shortly after I bought them, and mine are all still kicking. I don't have much "premium" gear myself.
