@Mowgli, are you closing off the AFC while filling, and flipping the tank over on the last turn of the top cap? After that, open the AFC and after a few seconds flip the tank back.

FWIW, I don't do any of that with mine, and it doesn't leak when filling, just open top cap, fill, close top cap, and go.

I stuffed almost the full length of KGD into the gaps, left plenty hanging out when I attached the chimney but snipped before stuffing. I think I cut the strips too thin and I could have stuffed more after attaching the chimney.

Maybe its just the pics, but that kind of looks like fused clapton wire? Is there one, or two strands of 28g for the core? That would explain the lower resistance if so.

It's hitting pretty quick and cool and giving tons of flavor at 105 watts.

Oh, yeah, that explains it then, fused clapton, makes much more sense. And lol at the Hendrix vs Clapton.

Word, that's cool, I have done it on other top fill RTAs without juice control where you need to feather the wick, and not use too much or get dry hits, *cough* cthulhu v1 *cough*. I was flipping while closing top cap initially with the MT, but then I found I didn't need to, so I stopped.

Cotton bacon does seem to solve all my issues! Bacon is better!!! (V2 has less cotton taste on breakin it's almost undetectable)

Don't wait for screws! The standard screws do work ok, but you need to use a bigger Phillips screwdriver than the common " blue handled" screwdrivers all toppers come with...

Howdy, everyone! I've been reading this thread because of an enabler amongst this group! Haleysdadda should be a salesman! I've been a mech guy since graduating from egos early on. I did do a stint with tanks and an MVP2 for a little bit, but those protanks and iclears just didn't float my boat. I quickly went to drippers, then my first Reo, then on from there. I became a die hard bottom feeder as I love the hit and flavor from drippers, but hated dripping. I still love all my squonkers, but just recently, I bought an IPVd2 from a co-op and a friend here gave me a subtank and subtank mini. I was really surprised at how much tanks have progressed! Then, I won a Clouper mini and ended up with their Z5 tank and an A1 tank as well. I really became impressed! So, now, with all the hype about it, I've ordered an MT which is due to arrive Friday. I'm really starting to enjoy these super tanks and high wattage regulated mods! Now to find that 2# sledge and flat chisel to jam enough cotton into this thing.

Just like you,i had been using bottom feeders for quite a while,but after getting a few of the newer tanks,the mt especially,my bottom feeders haven't been touched since the monday after thanksgiving.I like my rda's,but these tanks blow them away.

Yeah,mine too.I have the new screws sitting here ready for the next time i rebuild,but for now,the stock ones are doing the job just fine.

Marc replaced them with grub screws when he got Satan. That was before he decided Satan should come live at my house.

OK, as a preface, I don't have the proper tools for coil wrapping but I made it happen . Dual claptons 6 wraps on a screwdriver Came Out To .4 and is vaping like a CHAMP .
