Tell her we love her too Todd!I have her phone number and email. That's outright ridiculous. I'm betting someone reported it.

Done!
I've just gotten online and now am seeing all this.
First, rules have to enforced across the board. Business discussions, whether a new person coming to ECF and asking how to start up a vape shop, a rep for a company advertising, even beloved members (I really do love Roxy too) cannot discuss business.
I know it seems harsh. When we know the person it makes it harder emotionally, for me, to enforce the rules. Enforce them we must or else the next time we have to do it someone will get upset and cry favoritism.
Hopefully she is working it out with ECF Admin. I pray this gets worked out.
I do too! But one question, @Robino1 , why delete that whole thread? There was so much valuable information there useful to all of us who have one coming? Couldn't it just be archived so we could refer to it?

If the rules weren't in place, how could you be sure that vendors weren't posing as regular members and recommending their product in the open forum? These rules insure that the reviews, recommendations and user experiences are based on actual consumers and not people pushing their product. What a rotten, bureaucratic hall monitor-type mess.
Reminds me of my "real" life. And I ain't here for that....

The big picture has to be looked at. YES THIS SUCKS but there are reasons for the rules that are in place. This is first and foremost a consumer based forum.
I get it, I really do. All I can say is I'm sorry. I truly am and my heart is breaking over this. You are, of course, correct on all counts.
I'm all for consumer advocacy. I have some really good personal reasons to be.
But I don't like it when a nice, good, helpful person inadvertently runs afoul of rules.
Not for me to say whether the rules are "right" or not. Like suprtrkr said, it's a privately
owned forum.
And I do not need or want to get into an argument/debate of any sort. There is enough
friction, rancor, and suicidal malaise in my heart right now. I'm not in my right mind.

Graciously said. Well done. You are, of course, correct on all counts.

Robin I think most of us understand why the rules are there & why they need to be applied! What I know I really don't understand is how they were applied in this situation! I personally saw this rule applied, in what I believe, a proper manner earlier this year! I don't remember the specifics of the thread but I do remember is it was started by a member that had joined that joined that day! He also wrote with an accent that made him really hard to understand! The thread lasted about 5 or 6 posts before it was reported by a veteran member and "SHUT DOWN" not removed! I completely understand the way the rules were applied in that situation! But my understanding ends there. If the thread in question was breaking the rules why was it not reported by the many Supporting Members and/or Veterans who were posting there? One of the things I love about ECF is that for the most part we police ourselves unless it's something that that needs to be handled by a Mod! I completely understand that you had nothing to do with this! I've just found a home that is easy for me to use (VU and FB suck) and I have alot of friends here (you included) and finding somewhere else to go isn't an option that I'm willing to consider at this point! Just had to get my thoughts out here!If the rules weren't in place, how could you be sure that vendors weren't posing as regular members and recommending their product in the open forum? Thank you, sir!
