I do report spam and unregistered suppliers-- limiting the latter to people who are actually trying to sell something, of course-- or I used to. I don't report unauthorized blogging, or disrespect to moderators, or non PC topics, or presuming to discuss things certain people would prefer to be not talked about. But I don't think I'll be doing much of that any more. If they want to police the commentary, let them. It's their board and they may do as they please. But I don't have to be a volunteer Brown Shirt.

Honestly here fellas, the folks in this thread are the types of persons I am with off of this forum. That's why this thread feels like home. I see you all on other threads/subforums and you are kind and courteous throughout. I will go even further and say that I wouldn't visit ecf much if it wasn't for you fine folks. Positivity, kindness, patience and tolerance goes a long way with me and you guys put it into action. Plus you guys have a great sense of humor. Rule 62, don't take yourself too damn seriously.

I have tried to be. I am here to teach and to learn, and for good fellowship. But the heart is gone right out of me. I can, I find, still discuss technical subjects-- I did a post this morning about how to calculate amp draw on a regulated-- but I no longer feel able to discuss specific models or suppliers. And that means I can't be a lot of help to people who need it.

Although my love for this thread & the others we share is still there, my love for this forum is dwindling! That's the main reason I stay on here, to learn, find info on new stuff (like the Boreas), and get to know a lot of really great folks. Hell, I have one friend on the forum that my wife and I have been over to his place multiple times and really enjoy hanging out together over in Houston. I used to recommend various equipment a lot, like Reos, for instance. Now, like you, Dominic, I just dont feel energized enough to care to do it anymore.

I'm going into lurker mode until I feel like I can post without drawing the ire of a moderator, or stepping on the board owners' (wanted to insert a humorous metaphor here but I'm self-censoring.....) shoes. I just want everyone to get along and take things on a case-by-case basis. From what I'm reading though, the board is far too busy to be run like that....
