If you like the KR808's, then check out Smokeless Image. They just came out with some big batteries. I purchased a 1300mAh battery and some of their new clearomizers and now I can vape all day without changing batteries. :)

Haven't seen those...1300mAh...awesome......excellent idea. I purchased a Vgo kit with 2 ea 900mAh batteries from the forum classifieds. Should receive it Monday. It is 808 connection, so I can use my existing gear.

I know you have made a purchase already, but I wanted to back up your first suggestion of the box mod from MadVapes. Their 510 box was my first "real" mod. It got me away from the ego style and cigarette style batteries. The real convenience is the fact that you don't have to remove the cartomizer / atomizer to charge the battery. You just remove the cover, replace the battery with the one that is charged and continue. Less wear on your threads. I only have one mod that I have to use a USB charger with and that is the SD keyring, but it is for emergencies only. lol

3.7V Box Mod with Blue Horn Switch I have this and it works real well and on the cheap...Get your self a couple 14500 batts and a charger and you will be set...

I can't stand single battery 14500 box mods. I could go to work with two batteries and both of them would be dead by the time that I got home from work. In a parallel box mod the very same two batteries would last me most of a day and maintain a higher voltage for most of that time. It took me a long time to find an 18650 that would maintain as high a voltage for as long as two trustfire 14500 batts in parallel.

Madvapes has the gripper for 20 bucks. Add a couple of 16340s or get a couple of flat top 18350s somewhere else (about 5 bucks each or so unless you opt for IMR batts for around 8 bucks each) and a 5 dollar charger. -- Total price with the expensive batteries and a charger = ~$41 plus shipping.

You have to use XL length cartos in the gripper. --> Here is a video review that might explain the mod better than I can typing.

The first gripper I got was DOA. MV sent me a new one in 2 days. That pretty much gave me the green light to pry open the dead one. The wire from the 510 fitting to the battery coil just needed to be re-soldered. Reenforced all the glue points and now I have 2 Grippers that work great. These are not the easiest when it comes to switching out cartos. I may cut a half inch off the top of the carto sleeve on my fixer. For the price..... you really can't complain. These things are so tiny and stealthy. I always keep one in my pocket when fishing. If you drop it or lose it, no worries.....just get another. At 3.7 volts with a dual coil carto, these things rock. It's not a GLV, but for the price it's the next best thing.

Thank you everyone for all this help!! I am looking for an upgrade to my KR808 batteries - i have 6 and it seems all I do is charge, charge, charge all day. Not ready for something like a Variable voltage (yet anyhow) but want something that is small and holds battery charge longer. I am considering the E-power I think. Anyhow, i was wondering is a higher number battery such as 18350 mean it holds a longer charge than a lower number such as a 16340? Thanks!

If your thinking E-Power(a good mod by the way) may want to be aware they sometimes have problems in cold weather, and they have had button problems. The buttons are easily replaced and I belive they are working out the bugs on em.

A good alternative if you want an automatic(no button) is the HS Echo. The 650mh lasts all day and can still hang in your mouth like a cig. They go up to 1300mh also. They have a 3ml carto that works everytime, and also lasts all day, and no leaks either. They are unregulated which means they come off the charger at 4.2 and fade to 3.7-3.6. Compaired to the "Ego" which is regulated and is 3.5 and never goes up or down. Echos do take a long time to charge but this keeps them from dieing and being discarded as soon as most fat bats. I have had my first one for well over a year with no isues ever.

I love my echos for being 808's, and this alone may save you money if you have a lot of 808 stuff.

Good luck. And remember almost everything is realy good anymore. No one is likely to recomend crap here. Enjoy your new vape, and let us know what you get.

P.S. SmokeTip has a 350mah cig battery if you would still want a cig look, but you can do much better for the price.

The #'s refer to size,mah rating is amount of energy stored
18350 =18mm dia.,35mm length,0-round cell
16340=16mm dia.,34mm length.0-round cell
