is there anyway to color the brass without ruining the threading?..

i was thinking of taping off all areas that i dont want paint on and spray painting the thing but is there any otherways?

Itd be engine enamle since its heat resistant and water proof.

I like matching the colors of my atomizers so thats why I'm bringing this up as a topic..and not much hours with black and brass
