Info about building RDA

I started with the iTaste vv3 with a iSmoka on it. Liked it but wanted more. Got the Magneto with a Smoktech RSST Genesis. I paid the shop to pu the first coil in it but want to do my own build. I just ordered a igo-w RDA. Any advice on what I should start building. Wanting to do a double coil setup but don't want to go sub-ohms(at least not until I understand more about it).

Youtube has a huge number of step-by-step tutorials. RipTrippers and pbusardo both have excellent guidance, as do many, many others.

Truer words have never been spoken, but also keep in mine that Rip uses a mod box alot of the time that can pump out 20+ watts and his clouds are epic....something you will not have unless under the same conditions.

When building a rda just make sure your coil doesn't touch the deck or cap (it's called a short) and it wont end well.

Riptrippers and busardo as mentioned. Rip in does some crazy stuff. Stick to the simpler builds. Research, research, research. Then get some vtc4's. Then research some more more.

I have heard people boasting about these batteries and how great they are and how nothing comes close to them. Why is no one talking about the Efest IMR 18650 2500 mAh 3.7V LI-MN High Drain Rechargeable Battery , Flat Top , Purple , 35 AMPS. I can get them for $11 from my local vape shop and amazon also sells them.

Are these bad batteries or do people just like the sony better? I might be wrong but these batteries seam to have more power and pull more amps than the sony.

Here is a link to the batteries on amazons site: http://www.amazon.com/Efest-18650-R...400006555&sr=8-1&keywords=18650+battery+efest

I'm no expert. All I can say is that my research has consistently pointed me towards the vtc's as some of the safest batteries on the market.

The Magneto is a fantastic mod to start with - no limitations. It feels solid, has a nice heft, and the button is great. The limitations will be with your battery and it's current rating. As a beginner, I would start with coils around 1.5 ohms minimum to be safe. You will get good vapor and flavor and should be well above the current rating of your battery.

You state that you know "some about electrical" but I'm going to say this anyway: It is very important that you check the resistance of your build to make sure it is not a dead short or bad things will happen.

Thanks. I will and do check the resistance of each build before firing it off.
