Yeah I dunno what is up with the "E-Voke"?

It could be a Separate product from the "Voke"? It could just be a Branding thing wanting to jump on the "e" in from of a product Name? It could be Sloppy Reporting by the Media? Or parts of All three?

It seems to definitely be a different thing to the Voke. And the "E" thing would suggest that it's electronic.

Dunno? Just have to wait and See I guess.

I think the Marketing Winnies are just using the "e" to jump on the e-Cigarette Gravy Train. But I could be Wrong.

Now I'm confused. And if there really are two different products called the Voke and the E-voke so will be a lot of other people. I was under the impression that BAT got a medical licence because their device delivers a regular and measurable amount of nicotine every draw - which would mean it's the one above.

Perhaps this e-cigarette is designed to " deliver a regular and measurable amount of nicotine " as well !? I would be very curious to see how it works, if that's the case !

Perhaps it is this product re-branded ( post # 9 from this thread which you were involved in btw From Newsweek writer re. BAT Vype e-cigarette ):

" when BAT bought CN Creative one of their in-development products was called Nicadex, and that is an e-cig designed to potentially meet medical regulation "

Here is another reference to Nicadex :

Nicadex
Besides manufacturing e-cigarettes, CN Creative (and thus BAT) is in the process of developing an electronic nicotine vaporiser called Nicadex. Unlike an e-cigarette which is considered a consumer product in the UK market, CN Creative and BAT intend to license Nicadex as a medical product through the Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). In early 2012, CN Creative announced that they had raised £2 million with the help of Advent Life Sciences to finish the development.[12]

According to CN Creative’s website, Nicadex “is now in final prototype stage, with clinical studies and marketing authorization expected to be completed in 2013.

I knew I'd seen something about the e-Voke recently and have dug out this mhra.gov.uk pdf file. Pictures are pages 17 and 18, it does have a battery and is referred to as an electronic inhaler. (Hope the link works).

They call it an electronic inhaler in this MHRA report, but it looks like a cig-a-like to me. It comes with either 10 mg or 15 mg cartridges, and the delivery agent seems to be glycerin and water ( no pg, similar to Blu ecigs )

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&ved=0ahUKEwik15Wh9pXKAhUG6GMKHQQDBqgQFggmMAI&url=http://www.mhra.gov.uk/home/groups/par/documents/websiteresources/con616843.pdf&usg=AFQjCNHRIAUBs8Ep3yrGXUXYI4zdPqBn3g&sig2=BFG-dTFZLID-2vQyjIGC0w&bvm=bv.110151844,d.cGc&cad=rja

After seeing these Links, it Difinately looks like the "Voke" and the "E-Voke" are Separate Products.

With the Voke being an Inhaler. And the E-Voke being what we would call an e-Cigarette.

Those following this thread may want to look up Intellicig.
If I remember correctly, CN Creative bought them up years ago.

Intellicig is an old electronic cigarette maker who was once highly respected.
Their pure eliquid was a source of great comfort for many back in the day.

Just a little history to add to this thread...

Precisely. It's just an advanced version of the Nicorette inhaler that the NHS has been prescribing for years.

And when an asthmatic or COPD patient asks for a prescription for it, it's "sorry, you have asthma/COPD, you can't use this." Idiots. Asthmatics and COPD sufferers are ONLY the smokers MOST in need of it! THANK GOD for e-cigs, and not needing a prescription to get them! So I could FINALLY quit smoking!
