My boyfriend and I recently purchased two iTASTE VTR's along with two samsung ICR 18650 batteries. We are also using the same liquid. Awkwardly enough, my tank is burning my liquid right away. I am only vaping at 9 watts and he has been going up to almost 11. Does anyone know what the cause of this might be? I went back to the shop I purchased from but they had no actual reasoning for me. Thank you in advance for any help!

Clearos tend to like lower watts. Even nine is a bit high. Put a new one on and start at about 6.5 watts and work your way up.
If the shop guy vapes also, have him set one up for himself and watch how it's done.

Only one of those settings is being recognized. You either use it based on watts or volts. Not both. It is dependent on which setting you adjusted last.
I have a VTR as well, and it sounds like your coil on your Tank may not be wicking well. I usually run my tanks around 11 watts and my DCT's at 11.5-13 watts with no problems, unless I get a coil that has wicking issues. What kind of tank are you using?? Is your juice higher in PG or VG (Sometimes juices with a higher percentage of VG don't wick as well in some of my tanks - there's some tricks you can use, but need to know exactly what tank you're using to see if I can help out. )? My Protanks and Unitanks don't seem to play nice sometimes and I occasionally have to remove a flavor wick or flip the silicone grommet on the coil head to get the vacuum correct.
I have a VTR and I vape at 9 watts with all my clearos. I agree that it sounds like your coil.
