Just a little update for you guys...KR808d1 carts from eastmall are actually overfilled. They must order blank carts and fill it themselves....since most suppliers I have tried have carts that are way under filled. I guess so many people were complaining about burnt carts that now they overfill them. The problem is if you overfill the carts....this will clog the ato and you don;t get great vapor. I blow out some of the eliquid before starting.....and then they vape great. But you still have to top off every thirty or so hits and throw away at about 200-250 hits. Now one way of extending the life of the cart and insuring you won;t burn the cart is to use JC cured tobacco as the refill liquid....throat hit and vapor will be less with this liquid but the cart will last a lot longer.

As far as the greencig....The trick with them is to allow for more airflow. I was using them with the KR808d batteries and they work great but after a while the taste really deteriorates. You can allow for more airflow by not tightening the cart to the battery or to make the holes on the battery thread larger. This will definitely extend the life of the carts but at the same time most of these batteries have a 5-6 second cutoff....so the vapor amount will go down. With a passthrough or mod....this won;t be a problem since you can take longer hits. I can safely say I have extend life of the carts 3 fold using this technique. It is really not a technique...I found this out by accident since I got a mod that is compatible with the KR808d and Greencig carts. In my mod the battery connection has very large hole...so I was automatically getting a lot more airflow. I noticed when using the mod my carts would last me three times longer and the taste never got bad...."funky" as wegster likes to call it.

I took 22 gauge syringe went in right through the hole in mouthpiece and filled the cart no mess worked great, easily pierced through top of cart

I discovered that too....I was amazed how easily the cart can be punctured. I stopped filling the carts using a needle...when I discovered that the carts last a lot longer when dripping from the battery end. I don;t know maybe I am wrong....it doesn't make sense.... but the carts seem to last much longer when dripping 4 drops every thirty hits or so.

    Hey Wegster,

Sorry if this is privelaged information, but would you mind telling me where you can get 10 KR carts for 10 bucks? Cheapest I've seen was @ Nhaler for 8$ for 5. Thanks in advance!

Sorry, ......ed fingers tonight, 5 KR carts for $10. Drew/NHaler has 'em for $8, and there's another vendor who has a discount code, may be like $6-7 if still valid, was listed in the suppliers forum. For me at least, the GC carts las longer than I've managed to ever get out of any KR cart, but still, the 'cartomizer' units get $$ versus 3 pc and refills.

Okay -- so how exactly does one drip thru the battery end? Mine tends to pool at the top and not travel down. My Green Tech carts are lasting about 3 hours. Then I switch back to my Nebula carts, which are easy to refill and seem to last much longer.

I've dripped the Greencig carts the same way as the regular KR808D carts. One drop at a time through the battery end. Make sure the liquid is "sucked in" before the next drop.

As for cheaper cartomizers, try CigEasy. Rather cheap, and so far I've heard good things about them from Erica. I placed an order the other day before Drew at NHaler had his awesome special sale yesterday (which I also took advantage of).

I can re-fill my regular carts 2-3 times before tossing them.

Carefully - throwing puddles of liquid in there just won't get sucked in all that easily.

Check this and other threads, there's a video on how to take the GC carts apart to refill them as well, which is usually what I do, but dripping works fine as well.

Do one drop at a time, and make sure there's an air gap at the *bottom* of the cart, to allow the liquid to go down more easily.

3 hours seems pretty low - how many ~3-5 second drags? Is that non-stop?

Thanks Scottro & wegster - I think I need to try a needle-nose dropper bottle. The liquid bottles I have (Vanilla Vice from Ben and Vanilla Ice Cream from JC) probably have too large a diameter dropper. The juice just sits atop the battery hole of the Green Tech cart and doesn't travel down.

Not sure how to create an air gap. I was a bit taken aback that these carts were not individually wrapped. Once you open the packaging, could these carts dry out? The first one I used lasted 7 hours w/no re-fill. Now that's down to about half.

An air gap just means that you're not setting the mouth end directly on a flat surface. Lift it up a little with your other hand. This allows the juice to get in there and displace any air, so it shouldn't pool at the top of the hole at all. If it does, give the cart a little tap on the table and all should be fine. It shouldn't seep out that way.

The plastic dropper bottles, IMO, are the easiest way to go. The glass droppers produce larger drops and aren't as easy to control.

There are a few videos here too. GrimGreen did one, as well as a few others.

    Good luck!

Been following this thread closely... Got my greencig cartomizers in today... thanks to drew @ nhaler! Used a stock greencig high strength chocolate flavor cart today with a long 2 hole (the bigger holes) krd battery.... first impressions,, def a unique chocolate flavor,, different from the chocolate juices i've had before... not a very strong throat hit,,, and lackluster vapor... noticed that the cartomizer ran dry and lost flavor and vapor a lot quicker than a krd cartomizer,,, that wasn't my main worry with these,,, my concern was that i'd be able to refill easily, and be able to get quality out of these when refilling with my own juices... i dripped a few drops from the battery end,, and noticed a slight improvement.... but, after the cart ran dry, i read over all 13 pages of this thread again,,, i opened up the mouthpiece, pulled the cart out (which was completely dry btw),,, refilled the cart with a syring and 36mg marbro flavor from eastmall... somewhere around .5 ml or so... put the thing back together... just tried it....

WAWAWEEWA!!!! sooo good! mega strong throat hit, tons of vapor, decent taste and most importantly (for now anyway) more peace of mind that i'm not burning all kindsa material on the inside of the thing.... for anyone that vapes with a krd808-1 model, and drips or refills w/ their own liquids, i would strongly suggest at least trying out buying a 10pack of these and see what you think... now, this is only my first day w/ these, and my first cart i've tried, so maybe i'm getting carried away,, but wanted to let you all know what my initial impressions are....

Ditc, thanks for posting your initial impressions. I've had the Greentech cartomizers since Drew first offered them. I couldn't be more pleased with their performance also.

Hopefully Greentech will have a Pear & Grape flavor in the future as these are my favorite vaping flavors.

Okay. I just opened up a used cart. It was dry but very clean! Very impressive! Just 2 quick questions:

    1. Do you put the o-ring back after refill? Mine flew off & I never found it.

    2. Why can't you simply syringe the liquid thru the battery end? The cart is upside down anyway.

Yeah, I paid no mind to the o-ring... I would like to mention,,, after a day or so of refilling the cart manually, and dripping occasionaly from the battery end, I started to taste a plastic-like taste... I opened the mouthpiece of the cart again, took the plastic cart out,, and then ran the cartomizer thru hot water for 30 seconds, then let it soak in a cup full of hot water for 15 mins, then took it back out, ran hot water thru it again for 30 more seconds,, blew out all the excess water, and let it dry for an hour or so... put the plastic cart back in, and tried to use again,, plastic taste is there... i guess my question is,, where is this plastic taste coming from? nothing looks burnt to me,,, could it be from buildup in the atty? here are my 2 concerns...

    1) is it possible that i pushed the plastic cart down slightly too far and it is making TOO much contact w/ the atty? i can't seem to think this is the case, since I've taken the plastic cart out again and seen no visible sign of melting/burning

    2) is it possible that somehow some of the glue that was used to put the mouthpiece in place is still on the walls of the inside of the cartomizer, and getting hot and i'm inhaling glue fumes? by the way, this is one thing i'm VERY concerned about, because who knows what's in that glue? I've noticed that on the KR808D-1 carts, while the cart material may burn a bit, it doesn't seem that any glue is involved on the inside, whereas with these greencigs, there is certainly some type of adhesive that keeps that cap on, and is dwelling on the inside of the cartomizer,,, if anyone can chime in on this, i'd greatly appreciate it!

It's possible you've pushed the cart back in too far, but it would have to be quite obvious. Just pop the mouthpiece off a new cart to compare; the wick takes up a bit of space before the coil, so it seems unlikely unless you really didn't pay attention.

The glue..is only on the mouthpiece end. I pull the mouthpiece caps off with a dental tool/pick, and all of the glue comes right off once the mouthpiece end is popped off.

The GC attys will eventually 'cake up' basically, and build up crud form the e-liquid. I'd wager that's what you're tasting.

I've still yet to try to *really* clean the GC atty coils, mostly b/c I don't have a manual device that will accept the gc carts, or I might try a hydrogen peroxide burn then soak the carts to remove residue, etc.
