Lotus...going by what you told me I thought to myself that maybe we can put the hole in the cart without taking the mouthpiece out. From the mouthpiece end I inserted a needle and slowly pushed it against the back of the cart....the plastic must be pretty soft...the needle went through and made a hole in the cart. Then I got my syringe and did the process again to make the hole bigger. Then I filled the syringe and filled the cart....seems to be working perfect. My syringe is pretty old and all the marking are gone on it. So I don't know exactly how much to put in.

Right, not sure we're talking *exactly* the same thing here..or maybe I worded my Q poorly.
Def gets a slightly 'funk' tate when cart starts going dry, but, not a problem, it's slight and haven't seen any burning/damage from that.
But, on N number of refills on same cart, how is your taste/vapor degrading, or so far, it's not for you?

I see that I worded my answer vaguely...when I say I used up the cart...I meant to say I used up the cartomizer...meaning I refilled many times and got so much gunk built up on the ato that the draw, taste, vapor, throat hit degraded greatly.

Posted this in the 'burning carts thread' to keep the info easily found (and still need to update with the KR cart timed breakdown/pics) in the future, either way, but as this is directly relevant to the G300 and greencigs:

    To recap on the carts:
The Greencig carts are a bit $, but...they don't burn, and are refillable via several methods. Here's one disassembled again. The O-ring comes from the mouthpiece end, and the piece in middle is a 'regular cart,' like the 510 or other cart, with normal poly fill inside.

This is what the cart innards look like with the mouthpiece and cart removed (yes, sorry, it's blurry..but note the shiny coil):

This is what the atty coil and 'mystery hair' wick look like, up close. Note this is after multiple days of use with refills via both methods, via drip from battery end, and cart removal/refill. No burning, although obviously the atty's getting a bit...crusty :D Have not tried to rinse, clean, dry burn this cart, may try later as an 'in-between' before refills vis disassembly and refill..

@Edo, got it, thanks...same here, which is why I wanted a 'sanity check.' Taste does degrade over time, but even so...and I've been using some 'funky' (dark) flavored juices in mine..so it's understandable. I haven't yet tried a disassemble and dry burn or cleaning between refills.

The needle through cart back is in the German posted video.

Ya, see the video, that's the one you guys are talking about, video shows *two* methods. I haven't tried that one yet, wondering what gauge needle, seems it could then drip back into mouth (like on the 510 hole discussion we had, for some juice, I made the cart hole too big (JC of course :D )

I'd love to find a smaller than 20ga needle and give it a shot..

Yeah, that's what I meant. The guy in the vid just popped a hole in the cart bottom with a hot wire. Pretty easy either way. Someone translated to say it was .7 ml but if your markings are gone I guess you can just experiment a bit.

I haven't gotten any funky taste at all. But then I've only used 2 carts. When the first went dry I refilled it with Carolina Tobacco. That's all I've ever used in it and still tastes the same. The second I emptied all the original liquid and filled with Drew's Cuban Pineapple. That's all I've used in that one - I've refilled it twice.

Given that those hairs ARE the atty I'd imagine mixing liquids could give some flavor problems. If I was going to use something thick or say, chocolate, I'd clean the original liquid from a fresh one, label it, and use only that juice in it.

I really like the original juice though. Nice and smokey. Wish someone carried that in a bottle.

The only problem I'm having is the carts get VERY hot, especially with the paper peeled off. I'm using the long KR808 batts. Anyone else having that happen using the short KRs? Maybe that's why the G300s have the 3 sec cutoff?

Is anyone at all using the G220 batts?

Wegster...Yeah but I did it without opening the mouthpiece....with a cold needle. It works.....so far no liquid in the mouth. I mean this would be the easiest way to refill of all time....refilling without ever opening anything...this is crazy.

I missed the part about leaving the mouthpiece on. Very cool idea.

I really love the original flavor...the best tobacco taste that produces great vapor and throat hit as well. The JC Tennessee has great flavor as well but no where near the throat hit or vapor. Maybe Drew knows what is in these.

I am not getting the heating ato problem that you are. As matter of fact I was amazed at how cool the carts are even when hitting it very hard. Is it getting burning lips hot? I used to get that with the KR carts....when the cart material was burnt...that is when it would happen. The only suggestion I can make is that don't take the wrapper off. Also make sure there is enough ventillation...ease up on how much you tighten the atty to the battery. Oh and it might be that it is time to throw the ato away....when a lot of gunk builds up on the ato....the resistance of the coil goes up and causes the ato to heat up too much.

Yeah, I got .6ml of fluid into one that was pretty dry, I'd bet .7ml would be overflowing or perhaps soaking into the 'hair.'

Umm, did you want to BUY a pair of G300 batteries? I happen to have a pair of said beasts..for cheap! :D The 3 second cutoff is just, well..I tried, not for me.

The GC carts don't get particularly hot to me, but then again, I lurve my 510 :D

Yeah, burning lips hot. And I'm getting it on the new cart with the wrapper still on as well, and opened up as far as I can and still get battery contact. Maybe just a bad atty?

Are you using the long KR batts?

    Peaches:
You're using the short ones aren't you? Any problems with hot GC carts?

Yes...I am using the long ones....the short ones I have are all the 4 hole variety...so won;t work with the GC carts. If it gets that hot that it is burning your lips something is definitely off....don't use it anymore....dissect it and see what is up. As I said my KRs would get super hot like that when the carts would burn....so something is definitely wrong.

Oh I realized what might be wrong...you might be right...it might be your batteries...OK I have long batteries that have two holes and look exactly like my other long batteries...but these batteries have two very small holes vs the larger hole batteries that work perfect. Check your batteries...see if the holes are too small. If they are you have to find a way to make them bigger. Also align the trench on the positive contacts with the holes of the battery.

Lotus, I am using both the shortie KR Zeus battery & the longer 2 hole Nebula/NHALER KR batteries with NO hot carts. After refilling the poly 3 times & heavy vaping the mouthpiece may get a little warm but it's nothing to talk about.

I need to take the mouthpiece off to refill the cartridge. Can't get a hot needle or paperclip through the plastic. Maybe I don't have the strength to do it, who knows.

I'm also getting a "funky" taste after a day of refilling so I do think it's the gunk on the atomizer is causing that taste. Will probably be happy with using one GW cartomizer a day & then retire it. :)
