I will say out of the three units I got the other day Provari, Zmax re2 and the SVD I like the SVD the best. Both the other units are good but I like the action of the button on the SVD the best and the sweet design and feel of the host a lot better than the others. Only problem I have had is an issue with one of the tanks. It was filing up with smoke and was not hitting right. Weak airy draws. Could not seem to find the problem then I noticed the coil head was at a slight angel in the tank and was somewhat off center at the top. I am guessing that is where the leak is. So I ended up changing the coil head with one of my replacement ones and it was still crooked so looks like the base of the tank is bent. Oh well down a tank but I have two others that work awesome and the swivel tip is just awesome.:)

Last night the O ring came disconnected from the battery pin, after the pin got pushed down on my Vamo. I am VERY careful with my mods, and treat them like one of my kids! So when this happened i was thrown for a loop. I loved my Vamo until this point. After many attempts to secure the O ring, it wasnt happening. I was very disappointed, because I only had the Vamo for a little over a month.

So...which mod to get next? Well, I went with the itaste SVD. I really didnt want to pay double what I paid for the Vamo, But logic set in and I figured "you get what you pay for"

Ive only had the SDV for one day, but I couldn't be more pleased! The looks, performance, functionality, and feel, are outstanding IMO. The zmax and evic really were considered, but if ive got a mod that I need to hook up to my computer, I can live without it! Hopefully anybody looking for a new mod, price point and overall performance (and its a sexy ..... ; )) please consider the SVD!

The part I find better than my zmax or provari is that this unit takes so many different battery combination. This thing can take a single 18350, 18500, 18650, 2X 18350 and I maybe even as I think it is long enough but don't have two to try 2X18500's. And it does this as it comes without buying addons.
Absolutely DTR! Very good point I forgot to mention. Its also great that no adaptor is needed for 3's, evods, t2's and such,

This is a huge bonus in my eyes. Even though I haven't tried any Kangers yet that removable top ring on the SVD makes it like the swiss army knife of VW mods, in my eyes. Even accessible to use stardust style clearos on without accidentally unscrewing the tank from the base, like I have a few times on my new VAMO. (OOoops!)

I wish I was verified too. I don't know if I like the design well enough to shell out $100 for one, not in a world of $40-ish VAMOs anyway, but might consider one once the price starts to fall.

I'd sure like to know if they resolved the "upside-down screen" thing tha PBusardo talks about in his pre-release video... That might bug me. Also some of the photos of seen show a RED a screen on the SVD instead of the blue one in all the first videos???

Someone finds a smoking deal on these (outside of co-op) I sure hope they post a link here!

Note to reviewers: I'd bet it just means 'POwer' and 'VOltage'.

;-)

Whichever you pick, you're still outputting power and voltage. 'Power Select' or 'Power Adjust' would make sense, 'Power Output' not so much...

-edit: actually, thinking about it, Power Output does make sense. Doh.

I still think it just means 'POwer' though :)

Mine arrived today. The following is from the perspective of someone who has only used cigalikes, 510s and egos, but no other mods.

Initial thoughts are that it is a well put together device - no rattle or play, buttons have a solid action, no obvious significant construction defects. There are a couple of minor imperfections on the steel finish, and blemishes on the screen - but they don't interfere with reading it. I've seen screen blemishes reported by a few reviewers, so it might be something to think about if you want your device to look 100% perfect.

The three button interface is very well designed, with a few tiny quibbles. The lock function takes 5 seconds to trigger, which seems somewhat longer than necessary. Perhaps more significantly, holding the + or - buttons gives you a battery readout, so you can't press and hold to adjust voltage / wattage, but rather have to step by individual clicks. It might be better if pressing and holding gave you a battery readout, but clicking then pressing and holding cycled through output values, or something similar. Nevertheless, compared to the one button interfaces I've seen reviews of, this looks very well thought out and easy to use. The etching showing which buttons do what is a nice touch: unobtrusive, and a useful reminder until you're familiar with the device.

It's heavy, though not actually as big as I was expecting it to be - it's bigger than its equivalents, so I suppose that just means I thought tube mods were bigger than they are. The camera adds ten pounds, and all that. It looks nice enough - actually better I think than in videos - though it's got its own fairly unique industrial or utilitarian aesthetic which I'm sure many won't be keen on. Maybe makes me think of retro-futurism or something, not quite steampunk but not *that* far off.

Overall, very happy with the purchase so far (one day in), but I'm soaking the IClears, so can't comment on them yet.

I picked one up off the classies with 4 Iclear30's and 8 extra heads. It was used less then an hour, original owner just didn't like it. I already had an Iclear30 and liked it so the SVD was a no brainer for me. I already own a Vamo and i've only had the svd for 2 hours or so and i love it. I like the ability to lock the power output, battery config etc. It looks nice with the IClears, but fricken fabulous with the Protank!

Any recomendations for 350 or 500 batteries? I will also be using them in a Zmax Mini which is an active Coop currently that has a few more spots left in it.
