Hello and welcome. I am back again with you already for another review. This time I will be taking a look at the new innokin Klypse Plus that was sent to me by innokin in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. The Klypse Plus is an improved version of the original Klypse. It has an upgraded 1800mah battery contained in a lightweight aluminum body. It is strictly an auto draw device without a screen or fire button. It does have a nice magnetic dust proof protective cap to protect the mouthpiece of the 2ml pod that the Klypse Plus uses. It is fully compatible with the Klypse V2 pod cartridges.

    INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Klypse Plus has a nice and clean appearance. The front has the Innokin name and Klypse Plus names near the top. There is a nice color picture of the device contained inside and some information about the device near the bottom. The back of the box has a warning, package contents, company information, and an authenticity code. Also is the name of the color version near the bottom which you can see is Crystal Silver that I received. I am a little surprised that a device named “Plus” only has a single .8 ohm pod included. However, Innokin was nice enough to include a spare box of the .8 and 1.2 ohm pods with my sample for this review. I do wish that they had included a .6 ohm pod which would better fit my style of vaping.

One side of the Plus has the Klypse Plus name etched into the aluminum body while the opposite side has the Innokin name etched on it. The version I received has a really nice silver to blue fade effect. On the thinner sides, one side has the USB-C fast charging port and a simple battery indicator light underneath. The opposite side has a sliding airflow adjuster. The fast charging port allows the user to charge up to 80% in just 30 minutes to get you back up and running quickly. According to the website, the Klypse plus battery indicator is green as long as it’s above 30%, yellow from 10-30%, and red below 10%. It appears that there has been a misprint in the user manual that I received.

One nice feature of the Klypse Plus is the magnetic dust cap that keeps the pod clean and dust free which can become an issue when pocket carrying a pod device with an exposed tip. The top part of the dust cap has a chrome finish that comes across the cap diagonally to add to the aesthetic of the Plus. The top of the cap has the Klypse name stamped into it. As you can see, the chrome is a fingerprint magnet.

The pod opening for the Plus has the standard plated and spring loaded contacts to make electrical connection with the pod. There are also two strong magnets and the airflow sensor since the Klypse Plus is an auto draw only device. When first received there is a sticker over the contacts of the single .8 ohm pod that is included with the Plus. Once removed, there are two plated contacts and two magnets on the pod. The magnets are very strong and if you have dry hands like I do this time of year, it can be a little difficult pulling the pod out of the Plus due to the strength of the magnets.

    • FINAL THOUGHTS:
    • So here we are, almost to the end of another review. The Klypse Plus is a simplistic but well performing device. All you have to do is fill the pod, insert it, and set the airflow. Of course like any other pod device, you want to wait at least five minutes after filling before starting to use the pod.

    • I personally think that the Plus should have come with two pods but Innokin was nice enough to send a spare box of the .8 and 1.2 ohm pods. I very much would have liked to have tried the .6 ohm pods on the Plus. Both the .8 ohm and 1.2 ohm pods produced pretty good flavor and an acceptable amount of vapor. For a change, I actually liked the 1.2 ohm pod a little better with the airflow partially closed for a loose MTL with some NET tobacco that I mix myself. The dust cap is a really nice feature and once clicked into place, it is held securely in place with magnets.

    • I’d like to thank Innokin and Alisa for sending the Klypse Plus samples for my review. Thanks also to the readers for making this worthwhile. Below is a link to the website for your viewing pleasure.
