Maybe this is the thing Kat... I don't consider my experience to have been "poor". It just wasn't what everyone else wants it to be. I'm quite content with my vape just as it is. The only reason I even tried other devices is cuz I won them. The mini Cloupor+ 60w(?) Was the first. Tried it, didn't work for me. So. Do I decide to chuck all my Evod tanks and go on a search for a 'better' tank to work with the mod? Of course not, I traded the Cloupor for a bucket load of PT 2s! Made a great friend and vaped on. Next was the Movkin Luggly. Not for me, traded it with someone who bought and shipped to me a brand new Mini Istick 10w. Happy camper here. Koopor plus 200w(?), that monster bought me a pile of DIY flavors.

On and on. Currently have a Cloupor T8 that has never had a battery in it. Held that brick in my hand once and put it back in its box. Currently waiting for a Cuboid/QuadFlex package to arrive, the mod will be sent off in trade for 2 Eleaf Icare as soon as it gets here. Hoping the tank will work as well as my Lemos at 1.3 ohm. I'm really thinking those Icares may be my perfect forever vape that will relegate my collection of classic gear to backup status. I'll find out soon enuf.

I just get my hackles up occasionally when I see that statement about a 200w device operating at 7w. Maybe some do? I usually ignore it but once in awhile I make the mistake of responding to it and it starts this whole rigamarole of your doing this wrong or you've got to try this. Why? What am I doing wrong? My vape is working for me. I'm sure I could make adjustments to get exactly the same vape with a higher power device, but if have to do that, how can it be called the same? Must be that my equipment is faulty.

Oh well. If anyone is reading this as a rant you're mistaking my intent. Just a feeble attempt to be understood. I need to learn to stop responding to that 200w doing 7w thing. Self control, Foggy, self control. :) Very sorry if I've offended.

I really can't even begin to comment on everyone else's experiences with either high wattage or low wattage mods. I do know that my experiences have been nearly flawless across the board, from the time I was using cigalikes and Egos, all the way to the current stable of higher wattage gear. Yes, the available watts on the mods increased, but my need for them sure didn't. I've stayed in my same range and barely push most of them to 10w. (DP, you ARE brave and full of raw power!!)

Not once have I ever seen it as a problem if someone is happy with what they are vaping! That's extraordinarily great news whenever those words are spoken, so please know, I for one, am happy for you. And no, I doubt anyone read your post as anything more than you just explaining from where you come. I didn't find it offensive. Perhaps a little difficult to understand, and that's only because I've not shared your experiences. However... that does not negate your experiences at all.

I discovered that 11 watts was my sweet spot about 1-2 months into vaping. That was - - - "a few" days ago (or so).

I think I'll probably stick with it. ;)

The point is having devices that are capable of a full range of power to accommodate whatever I, or perhaps you, might evolve into over the long haul. Given the FDA deeming, that might not be such a bad idea in the long run.

Yep, as long as it meets current needs, better to have it (room for change) and not use it than not have it and want it.

Several of my "newer" boxes are TC, which I've barely looked at. But there if I want to play :)

I received the innokin hunter kit today with the isub v tank. I started a new thread but Capt. Shay asked me to post here. After just a little usage I really like the mod but am used to tanks with more airflow so I don't know if I'll stick with the isub or not. Here's a pic of the kit.

sweet, seems like a device with all the 'right' stuff...
myself not interested in the tank, so what ya think of the Hunter itself

do you have any of the other popular mods on the market to compare it to ???

Presa / Pico / VTC mini etc...

    pictures would be cool

I'm wondering what, how, the finish is going to take abuse...

hope it works good for ya

My daily mods right now are an evic vtc mini, a cuboid, and a cloupor mini 50tc. I still run a kfl+ on the cloupor, a crown tank on the vtc, and a merlin on the cuboid 150. The on reaction time is definitely faster with the hunter than the cloupor. The hunter menu is a little different than what I'm used to but is fine. One thing I thought was kind of odd was that for some reason I can't figure out how to change between all the temp modes and wattage without an atomizer on it. I can switch between temp control and wattage but it defaults to Ni. When you first put an atty on it then it lets you select what you want out of all the selections. I'm not sure why innokin chose to still make the wattage adjustment in .5 increments. Must just be their software. I really like the feel of the hunter and after experimenting with temp control on different mods I've ended up going back to wattage mode almost all of the time. The big screen on the side is nice. It's presented in the manual a little different than other mods but you can set your ramp wattage for temp control. That goes in 5w increments. If you're not familiar with it, it is the wattage used when you first hit the button to bring your atty up to temp. The higher you set it the harder it hits when you first press the button. The other mods I have use battery covers or doors. This one has a knurled cap on the bottom with a screwdriver slot cut in it. You don't need a screwdriver. The cap is easy enough to turn. One last thing, there doesn't appear to be a charging port on this mod. At least not that I can find.

Here's a pic of it beside the cuboid 150 and VTC mini.

looks like it is pretty close (size/height) to the VTC mini

do you have a CF IV 18650 ?
my CFIV18650 is 4-5mm taller (guessin) than the VTC mini

so what's up with that lanyard (looks like a picture hanger) on the side ?

can't remember, but innokin had something to say about NOT placing a USB port on the device

I don't have the cf4 18650. I have a regular cf4 and the hunter is a tiny bit taller. The hook on the side reminds me of the clips they put on cordless drills to hook onto a belt latch. Maybe they'll come out with a holster or something for it.

    haha
, That's Funny - I thought the same EXACT thing

clasp snaps on a rivet type and allows device to be able to swivel

and also maybe Innokin coming up with a 'Line" of attachable devices... ;)

Whodat, I'm not a heavy vaper. I started with a full battery yesterday after work and changed it tonight. I have four mods in my daily rotation. The battery in the hunter might have expired a little quicker than normal.
