Innokin SVD problems?

I have had the SVD for 2 weeks now. I LOVE IT. Sturdy and good looking. The grip is very comfortable to me. I don't like the iclear 30 much. Good vapor and the same quality taste as a vivi nova or other top wicking clearomizers. The iclear has a funny taste that cleaning won't remove. Lots of posts on that across the internet... .
I have not had any trouble with the buttons or display. I am running a Kanger Protank and a Vapeonly BCC Mega. Both work great. I am also using a Smoktech RSST (mass produced Genesis device). All work great, especially the RSST which I love.
I have encountered a problem though. The SVD stopped detecting the tanks! It would read 0.0A (which refers to the resistance, I guess A is the closest character on the display to the OHM/Omega sign). I was really worried until I attached my favorite tanks a bit looser. It turns out that the o-ring under the connection in the 510 threaded seat on top of the device was squashed. I was pushing the connection post down as I screwed my tanks on. The same issue is common in the VAMO. I will post a link:
Low ohm problem with the Vamo - Electronic Cigarette Forums - Ecig Advanced

I am going to try this with my Innokin. I will update you as I see how it turns out. I am screwing the tanks on more loosely now and they are working fine.

Do not let this dissuade you from getting an SVD. It is a good, sturdy functional device.

Welcome , and after watching a PBusardo review of the SVD , I kinda wanted one . But after looking around , I found a Sigelei telescoping Zmax kit ,The Zmax does the same thing as the SVD VV , and VW , etc . but only has one button . So it's alittle cheaper , and I personally have had no issues with mine . My Vamo gasket/o-ring failed ( had to replace ) but I don't even see one of those in either of my Sigelei's . But good Luck , in which ever one , you choose .

I have had my SVD for about a month now (one of the first pre-order shipments to arrive) and I love it!
Just due to circumstances, one of the coil heads I just replaced in my Kanger T-2 had a short right out of the box and the SVD reacted just as advertized with an angry red power button ( 5 seconds) and I believe a lot of 0's showing on the display. I also had another one completely burn out after an extended period of use and the display said "non".

As close as I have had to an issue with it, sometimes for no reason it goes into its Locked (loc) setting mode when replacing the battery which is easily corrected by unlocking it.

The power button functions very well but it is a bit on the sensitive side so if you have something else in your pocket it will activate until it hits the 10 second cut off.

Just to be safe and I do this with all of my mods I have permanently installed a 510/ego adapter. Very cheap insurance!

I am very well pleased with mine indeed!

Love my SVD had it a month or so, only problem I've had is that it wasn't reading the protank with evod heads in it but believe its the evod heads that causing the problem. The iclear30 that came with it have the odd taste I can't stand. There is a SVD kit without the iclear for a little over $40 I believe but may take upto 2 weeks to get from fasttech, but the price is worth the wait.

One of my buttons popped out of my SVD and I can not find it. Innokin will not send me the part. Does anyone know where I might be able to score a "+/- replacement button" for my SVD? And this, if for the response I got from Innokin. It was sent to me from Delaware and it is too hard for me to send mine back etc. Can't be without my SVD :)

Using and adapter protects the threads and pins from wear and tear that comes from removing and replacing whatever you are attaching to your APV. I recently saw a picture where someone had dropped their device and the threaded portion of the ProTank that was attached snapped of and could not be easily or even possibly removed. If that person had been using a 510/eGo adapter all they would have to do was remove and replace the adapter.

Like I said, cheap insurance!

I have used this trick a few times.
If the base of the Protank or anything else get stuck in there, use a pencil with an eraser top. Push the eraser into the threaded area and turn counter clockwise with a little pressure and it will unscrew really easily.

Nice trick and well worth passing on!

I know someone that had first one then the other of the buttons pop off. The retaining ring for the button just pops out allowing the button to go flying. It is easy to lose it when that happens. Lucky for her the vendor has stood up and is going to take care of it.

I had not heard this about the SVD. Thanks for passing this along. A friend just ordered an SVD, and I was considering ordering one myself because the Fasttech pricing is so awesome. I do have a Sigelei V3 that I love ever so much, so I'm not dying to get another telescope, I'm just trying to amass everything in the market over time. Hooked on the gear. Vaping's pretty good too.

I have the Zmax V3 Tele and a provari and a vamo. I really want to like the SVD because it is like the Vamo in the respect that it is just a bit easier to set up than the others. But I never liked that raised display cover and if the buttons have a QA issue I'd say go ZMAX. Maybe wait on SVD V2.

i received one of the Pre-Order SVDs.

And it was all I expected from it and more due IMHO to the heavy build quality.

Granted, it is large and heavy (and the same can be said about me) but it has survived some drops without a scratch.

I think some of this goes back to the quality control that the Chinese are so very famous for.

Granted that Innokin seems to be more involved in listening to their customers than most but there is always room for improvement.

I've had the SVD for a week. Everything has been great up until today. Using AW IMR 18650 and efest.
When I go to press the power button it fires and then every 3-5 button presses it doesn't respond. I look down and no green light. Release and press again it fires and light is green. I've switched from tanks to cartomizers, I-16,I-30, boge Cartomizers. Problem occurs with any type used.

Any thoughts
