Neither here nor there
May I ask how you arrived at the particular regime above? (Maybe it's in the story but my connection isn't cooperating with it atm!)

And the amounts of the active ingredient/s in the caps you'll be taking (however they list it, grams, mg. IU, etc.)?

The tests lasted 3 months but was there an indication as to whether the inositol should be taken indefinitely, or..?

TIA!! :)

Oh, in a very brief check it appeared 'Myo-inositol' is the same as inositol; pls. correct if mistaken!

I arrived at the dose by effectively doubling the average daily intake of inositol. I will increase gradually.
I have gastrointestinal issues, so I don't want to overdo it.
I also plan on reading medical journals to see if any suggested prophylactic doses can be found.

Inositol has many other positive benefits, like lowering cholesterol and BP, easing insomnia and some of the previously mentioned mental conditions. Choline is supposed to improve these effects of inositol.

I do not have all of the answers, but I will keep looking.

Can anyone recommend a good online source for this & other supplements ? One that is reputable ?

I usually buy on Amazon since I have Amazon Prime - but iherb.com is supposed to be very good and they have a very LARGE selection and lots of reviews.

Thanks for the post geeker and the link Trish!

Interesting: I'm reading some reviews and some people are saying how relaxing it is and some people are praising it for giving them energy! Seems like taste isn't the only thing that is subjective.

I really want to try this, but at therapeutic doses. I do have depression/anxiety, high bp, etc. Maybe I'll look into the powder. Thanks for the info.

Janetda, 18 mg is a really large dose. If I were you, I'd run it through my doc. Show him/her the study, at least ask. Especially if you have underlying health issues. Sorry to .... in, but I want you to be safe.

Well, I have been out for a few weeks. Was taking a half tblsp twice daily in juice. Was using it for anxiety/depression along with choline. It did seem to help, particularly in the winter months. After reading this here, I will definitely be ordering more. I think I will bump my dosage up to 12 grams from the 8 grams I was previously taking.

Ok, don't know if the following will behoove much of anything in this case (lest it happens to be that one ends up using a high-ish dose of the inositol, and the powder form doesn't dissolve so great on its own), but I just received a couple of the below for general 'manual' shaking/blending purposes (primary one atm being whey powder), and can't resist ANY opportunity to recommend them!! These puppies work GREAT!!! Got one in both sizes available, 20 and 28 oz:
