I recently picked up some LG HG2s and my nitecore i2 charger died on me coincidentally. I was browsing around for a new charger and what I'm finding is that chargers from xtar and nitecore either say they support Li-ion batteries or they say Li-ion/IMR batteries. Will charging INR batteries in these chargers be fine? I can't find anything that specifically says it charges INR batteries. The most I could find was that the nitecore chargers are optimized for the IMR chemistry.
Also, on illumn it says the normal charging current for the HG2s is 1A, max being 4A. Would running 2A charge on these batteries be fine? It's obviously within the limit, but is it just going to shorten the recharge cycles or increase the risk of the batteries venting or something like that? My thinking here is that if I can shorten the recharge time I can monitor the batteries better vs having to leave the unattended at times.
