Brenda Didn't understand the "Asbestos" reference...... Don't worry I'm the self confessed "Class Idiot" on another thread

Hi Projectguy,

Exposure to asbestos can cause serious lung diseases such as lung cancer and asbestosis - they stuck it all over the place as insulation at one time and then when they found out the health risks all these buildings had to spend a bunch of money to pull it out to meet safety regulations as well as handle it properly as they were doing so otherwise the fibres would contaminate the site ...

... hence the implication that the only way vaping could possibly be worse than smoking was if we were vaping straight asbestos!

Here's another one (again not particularly witty I'm afraid)

If someone you loved couldn't quit ...
... would you want them to risk the unknown ecig ...
... or stick with the known killer?

Of course the best of all (don't know to whom it belongs) is that one about telling a smoker not to vape being like telling a drowning man not to climb aboard a life raft because it might leak ... that creator deserves a medal!

True, my great grandfather died of asbestos poisoning!

Some good one's but we'll have to ask for permission. I liked

--> Vaping Kicks Ash

--> Jesus was a Vaper

I was just thinking to use this as a reference as to what is already out there/successful and not so much as using their exact slogans I also thought that selling the carrying cases and the "insert your province/state/organization/group" was interesting.

All great ideas but if I may suggest that we might want to keep it simple this year. This is our first time. We are extremely fortunate and privileged to have San Jose who rocks big time when it comes to the organization of co ops so this is an opportunity for all of us to learn and plan for NEXT YEAR.

Is everyone OK with this?

Okay just got ogg the phone with Trevor (known him for the last 44 years) this is his web site T.SAMUELS AGENCY. Told Trevor what we were planing and he suggested Zorrel and depending on what price point we needed there would be 2 styles to choose from: Basic = z100 or the high end = z880. https://www.zorrel.com/index.php

NOW PLEASE READ THIS : The prices you see on the web site are Suggested retail. Our price landed in Canada or the US would be approximately haft of the prices listed there.

Trevor suggested we consider the following:

  1. Quantity. 1,000 was a good number because of the volume discount.
  2. Sizes: The co op version will tell us that for VapeBash (if we have the time) and CanVape we should use the same distribution as the co-op delivers
  3. Colours - T's:didn't ask if color made a difference or if just quantity was the price driver
  4. Colors - slogans. One color versus 2 + colors for the stenciling made a difference.
  5. Shipping: Landed Canada or US it was in the price.

PS: In Trevor's web site the picture is how I met Trevor. No not doing RW but through the sport.

Next: We need to get orgamanized

So because I started this I had better volunteer. we need others we have San Jose and I volunteered LilKurty (my apologies would you like to be on the committee?) The way I see it we have a number of tasks:

  1. Time table: We have to establish a time table as to when things will happen.
  2. Things: Reference 1. above most importantly we have to figure out what those "things" are
  3. Prizes Someone has to play nice with the suppliers so we can get
  4. Slogan selection: This does not only involve who wins but different categories i.e., Message, humour, vaping and a new category "Adult", i.e., "No you can't kiss my ASH because I vape"

Questions to be answered:

  1. Distribution
  2. What is the CASAA donation per T Shirt $5 or $10
  3. ...........................
