Why not review one of the oldest "VG only" juices?

I think the only legitimate complaint I've seen against this juice is the price, but given that twice over, it's gotten me off analogs, I can't complain.

ECOpure
ECOpure e-Liquidf you're expecting complex, layered flavors, you might want to try a different juice. ECOpure is very simple in concept, a 4 ingredient juice. With a little research, VG, nicotine, ethyl maltol, and a single flavor. Ethyl maltol is most likely what gives it that "sweet" taste, but it's not RY4 sweet, or non-tobacco e-juice sweet, more on that in a bit. When you first open the bottle, you'll realize what "sweet" means; it smells like a sweetened pack of fresh cigarettes.

Taste
It also tastes like a sweet pack of cigarettes. If you held up your favorite smoke to your nose, and snorted caramel or marshmallows through the other, it might remind you of ECOpure. On the inhale, you get the sensation that there's a cigarette stuffed in your PV. You can clearly taste tobacco, but it isn't overwhelming. On the exhale, you finally taste "sweet," not in a sugary way, or as caramel flavor, but your taste buds just say "sweet." If you hate "sweet" juices, like RY4, it isn't quite the same. The "sweet" doesn't have a flavor to it, and it doesn't taste artificial. If you're expecting the taste of burning tobacco, you won't find it here. It also doesn't taste chemically or perfumed at all, which is great given how many tobacco juices I've tried that taste like rose water [no me gusta]. None of the flavor is in your face. They might be going light on the flavor, but to be honest, it works.

Vapor
Tons. It's VG. It turns an eGo-T into a fog machine. On a dual coil with more than 4V, you'd probably register a fog advisory on the Weather Channel.

Throat Hit
The only place where this juice can fall short is throat hit. If you want any serious kind of TH, you'll want to get 20mg, because any lower and you just won't find any. Remember, there is no PG, and no added flavors/ingredients to enhance throat hit.

Overall
This is the juice I recommend to my newb friends. It makes them wonder why they liked the taste of burning tobacco to begin with, or the stink, and most importantly, it plays nice with hardware. You'll be hard pressed to gunk an atomizer up with this, and it lasts an obnoxiously long time in cartomizers. No dry hits on an eGo-T, no clogged eGo-T wicks. This juice performs (and it better, there isn't much to it!). I keep trying new juices, and I've settled on a new daily driver, but when I find myself jonesing for an analog, my 30 mL bottle of this helps me remember why I quit in the first place.

Ecopure is some pretty darn good e-liquid.
The sweet in it reminds me a tad of fruit, but it's definately not a fruit flavored liquid.
I like how it doesn't have an overwhelming flavor profile. It's pretty mild and a great performer.

When I was a new vaper and every single liquid I'd tried had an artificially sweet saccharine quality (likely from sucralose), Ecopure Regular, Rich, and even the menthol were a breath of fresh air. These are on my admittedly short list of e-liquids I would purchase again out of the hundred or more I've purchased and reviewed.

A similar and cheaper flavor compared to Ecopure Rich is Backwoods Brew Malty. It performs just as well as Ecopure Rich, but at a lesser price tag.

Great review. I enjoyed reading it.

I just received some Ecopure, Menthol @ 20mg and regular @ 15 mg. I have to say they are the cleanest vape I have experienced. I don't like in your face flavoring and these are just perfect. My first use of Ecopure. It is hard to explain, but the vapor, while abundant, gives a very light sensation, or while a lot of vapor, it does not seem to be a heavy vapor, if that makes any sense. The TH on a 2.0 ohm carto is perfect for me. I think I am going to stock up.

I too enjoy Intellicig's Ecopure Rich, typically in the 20ml to 25ml nicotine range, as anything less just doesn't have enough throat hit. I used to enjoy heaver PG blends, such as Halo (Freedom, Torque56), Boba's Bounty, and even Dekang's Turkish Blended, but I eventually (took a year or so) started having allergic type skin reactions to PG, which really bothered the heck out of me until I switched to using Ecopure Rich. I don't find Ecopure as flavorful as some of those other e-liquids, but what I typically do is mix about a quarter to one third Dekang Turkish Blended in 18ml to 24ml nicotine strength with the Ecopure Rich and that works out pretty well. Still plenty of vapor production, even from my LiteCigUSA m402 hardware, decent and not obnoxious flavor, and the blend also still runs very cleanly in my equipment. Typically my vaporizers and batteries last quite a long time, with fairly little maintenance, even when I occasionally slightly food one of my open automatic batteries, as I do typically drip refill my m401 XL cartridges on the go. I do miss using Halo e-liquids though, and may try blending small amounts of those with the Ecopure, much like I currently do with the much cheaper Dekang Turkish Blended.

My impressions after the first day of vaping EcoPure Rich 15 mg... layout copied from OP's review

Taste
Very hard to define, no single taste stands out. Tobacco-ish, tastes a little like smelling a freshly opened pack of cigarettes. Very pleasant smokiness on the exhale, and sometimes a hint of very subtle menthol ?
Vapor
Good vapor production, similar to other VG blends
Throat Hit
Throat hit is more pronounced than with other VG blends, but no unpleasant reaction like I get with PG heavy blends
Overall
Agree with OP, very satisfying and full vaping experience. I think the nicotine hit is more pronounced somehow, but have no idea why this is. I find myself vaping less of this 15 mg liquid than my other 18 mg liquids. Packaging is absolutely superb, bottles are clearly labeled (strength, flavour, Use by -date and batch no.). This is quality stuff will be ordering more of it.

I recently tried Intellicig's ECOpure Menthol, in 15mg nicotine level strength (after just having finished up some ECOpure Rich). Throat hit was very good (on an ECHO DC cartomizer), but I found the menthol flavor to be way too strong. I was never really a menthol cigarette fan, but I hadn't yet tried a pure menthol e-liquid flavor before, so I figured I would. The popular eJoker e-liquid I've tried before (I forget which supplier creates this excellent juice) has a menthol-like flavor component, but that is only 1 of 7 different flavors used in that e-liquid, so the menthol is very much a background (not in your face) flavor component.

From other forum reviews I was expecting something somewhat more minty in flavor from Intellicig's ECOpure Menthol, but the menthol isn't "minty" at all, except that the e-liquid is kind of "minty" fresh clean feeling (in a way). The menthol itself is a VERY strong menthol. Way too much menthol for my liking, though others might really enjoy that. I had to cut this stuff down very heavily with other e-liquids to make it palatable at all, but that really hurt the flavors of the other e-liquids used. I also found that whatever is used for the menthol flavor tended to irritate my throat, which was unpleasant in and of itself.

I haven't actually tried Intellicig's ECOpure Regular in a long, long time, and so now that I'm using different equipment I think I'll give it another shot the next time I order some juice. For now, I've got some all VG Vaperite 777 and some mostly PG Halo Freedom Juice on the way. I plan on mixing those together to get a majority VG blend that will hopefully run better in my cartomizers than other e-liquid blends. I find the short useable life span of cartomizers, even with regular and thorough cleaning, to be kind of annoying.

Intellicig's ECOpure line of e-liquids seems to help my cartomizers last a little bit longer, but not significantly so. The difference maybe only being a matter of getting a few extra days of cartomizer use, but that is all. The extra cost of ECOpure juices doesn't justify their being used for that reason alone, but they are still a good base for mixing in other more flavorful juices. Vaperite's juices tend to clog up atomizers and cartomizers more quickly than other juices, but are really good tasting juices.

I haven't tried Halo e-liquids in a cartomizer yet, so I'm looking forward to trying them again in an ECHO cartomizer instead of an m401 atomizer. Supposedly Halo e-liquids run well in cartomizers, but on their own they have too much PG in them for me to use them without blending heavily with some other all VG juice. ECOpure juices just seem a bit too expensive to use solely for that purpose alone.

Under normal circumstances, I believe that whichever e-liquids you use should be something you are happy using without the need to blend with other juices. Those of us with PG allergic reaction issues are in a bit of a different boat. While there are several good all VG juices available, there are very few great ones. I've yet to find a truly great one, so in the meantime I must blend all VG juices with heavier PG juices in order to get flavors and performance that are reasonably satisfying.

Here and There
I just checked the Intellicig USA site and don't see either the Ecopure Rich or the Regular.
Ecopure is all I've been vaping for over 2 years now. First, the Ecopure Fresh which was
discontinued. Then I switched to the Rich, liked it and stayed with it. Last time I ordered, the
Rich was unavailable, so I purchased the Regular. I don't like it much, but it's still better
than any of the other juices I've tried (and discarded). Now all I see on their site is Eco"Vape" Rich
and Dark Rich. Grrr. It seems to me that if something works .. you don't fix or change it. I'm seriously
considering DIY. Do I sound cranky? I AM! This isn't fun as it took me a long time to find a
juice I could vape daily and actually enjoy it.

It would be helpful to hear from someone who has tried the EcoVape Rich and dark Rich. I hope it
has the same flavor composition as the Ecoopure Rich ...

Just ordered and received 5 of the "EcoVape Rich", 24mg, 30ml bottles. It in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM is like Ecopure Rich. It is darker, harsher and has a distinct smell and taste to it. Being a exclusive Ecopure Rich user for years, I am VERY disappointed. It taste like dirty, old socks. It does not have that "Cotton Candy" taste and smell that I am used to. Now I am stuck with all these bottles of something I don't like.

NCC,
I share your disappointment. I wouldn't be so upset if this was a Mom and Pop supplier. Their size, prices, and
marketing had me fooled into thinking an abrupt change would not happen. Pity you're stuck with
such a large supply. I've made up my mind to DIY -- lot's of good info on this site. I read that some vapers do well on
flavorless nic. So long as I can get it in a VG base, it may just do the trick. I hope you find a pleasant new
juice too. Thanks so much for your reply.

Ellie,

I have found something "Close" to the old EcoPure rich. Cignot sells a VG based juice called "Basic Naked". It doesn't have the same amount of "sweetness" that EcoPure Rich had, but it is a close substitute. The taste is pleasant and clean. The only downside of it, is that the largest bottle it comes in is 18mL bottles. The plus side to it though, is it is only $10/bottle. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
