Well the unscrewing didn't help. It seems it's the atomiser telling the battery to cut out, because i can't replicate the problem by just sucking on the battery alone, that appears to work fine. Which makes me wonder what message the atomiser is sending out? It can't be that it's a too longer draw, because it can happen on a short one, neither can it be that there's no liquid because there's plenty of vapour.
This is not happening at regular intervals, just inconvenient times.

You tried topping up the cartridge when it does this? I really don't know the workings but I think it has some mechanism by which it cuts power early if its too dry. I've only been using the Evo for a few days but this is one of the things I've noticed. The atomiser on this gets really hot (it appears to go almost white hot) so I think its probably wise not to try to run it on a dry cartridge.

Speaking of hot. I have njoy penstyle. Mine started getting slightly hot, much more than normal last eve. New cartridge, charged battery, but with a new cart. brand. It's okay today. I don't understand why it got so hot.

And as to your comment. Too hot to the touch and when. Only when the cart. is getting dry? Just curious if you know.

The outside doesn't get that hot. I mean inside, when it operates the coil on this gets seriously hot. More so than most other e-cigs I would guess as most others seem to glow red when hot, I swear this went white. You won't see it in normal use with the cartridge fitted.

I should hope not. Now Papa, how in the world did you see the inside of it while smokin on it?

im pretty confident that with more use the problems you are having will fade away.........however, i really think that you should contact john to report your problem as he is the main person who can help/advise/replace.

Yes I will if it carries on, I'd just like to try and solve it myself, strange how its doing it with both batteries and both atomisers, makes me think it's my fault but i cant see how. Does John ever read these threads here i wonder.
This is not a big issue, more an inconvenience..... Like right now ! lol

Yes John reads the threads but a direct email might get a quicker response. What you are experiencing is strange, I had a wonky battery that had a mind of it's own and John replaced it immediately, apart from that it has just been the occasional misfire, again mainly with one particular battery, but not at the serious annoyance level.

as pete says, john does read the threads and posts but not all the time like us guys! its good to post any problems on here for other users to share and comment but if you want it resolved quickly then i would always advise to contact the seller too.

out of interest, are you using carts or dripping? and is it the 2 minute cut off feature that is happening without taking a full 5 second drag, or is it that the led doesnt always light up correctly?

That's why I was hoping to find the problem, so others who might come across it will have an answer.
I've tried dripping and topping up and yes it does appear to be the 2 minute cut out thing, although it's a bit less. It's just so inconsistent, right now I'm enjoying it no problem, I cant even make it cut out, but it could just stop at any time. I have a spare battery and atomiser, so basicly I have two Evo's, and the same things happening with both, which makes me think it's me......By the way it's just cut out lol.
