Hi Rusty - yes, you did say something wrong IMHO! I know I'm new here and haven't had a load of bad experiences yet(fortunately & mostly due to this forum, thanks, all!) but I think you owe John an apology.

Can't help thinking given the timing of the post (very late Saturday night) perhaps you hadn't had that good an evening in the pub & needed to rant at someone...

As far as the pic goes - I'm sure I've seen this somewhere before & I think it's the world gurning champion or something like it; and she's female, which I'm fairly sure John isn't having spoken to him! Just shows a sense of humour, not a representation of the guy himself.

John may be fairly new to this forum but I'm fairly sure Intellicig isn't - at least in e-cig terms. John can you confirm, when did you start trading/website first go live? If you care to look at his site you'll see he's far from a fly-by-night backroom trader and the only place I've seen where the cigs are actually assembled in the UK. I'm fairly sure also that Intellicig is actually a subsidiary or division of an existing company which is likely where the investment to develop their own product has come from, rather than buying in bulk lots of generics.

I'm sticking up for him as so far he's answered all my questions in a pretty up-front manner in this thread and was courteous and enthusiastic when I spoke to him at some length on the phone. I'm seriously considering getting one of these EVO's for myself - see BadSeed's review, sounds excellent, better than my starter 901, and no I don't work for him. He's in Lancashire & I'm in Sussex!

I'm even thinking about sticking my toe in the water and trying selling some myself, local pubs, markets maybe - nothing fancy. Notice you've said you're selling yourself in a shopping centre up in bonnie Scotland, reckon you could do worse than try stocking some of these yourself! Several people in this forum have said how good he is at honouring his warranty if anything goes amiss with the kit.

Please don't get mad at me & think I'm having a personal pop at you - lived for several years with a biker named Rusty - sadly no longer with us (cancer) who remained one of my best & closest friends after we split up so starting this post with 'Hi Rusty' feels a bit peculiar to say the least. Can't resist saying this tho', he got a bit ....-y when he'd had too many shants as well...

All the best - Wendy (can only call myself a 'former biker' these days as I haven't got one at the mo. If I earnt loads selling e-cigs maybe I could have one again...I'd like to)

The carts that came with my 901 tasted weird. The ones that come with the Evolution do taste imho MUCH better. I even smoke their no-nic Menthol carts sometimes just for the taste. Normally however I top up my carts with liquid (I've used both TW and E-cigs liquids and like both a lot) which I cut 50/50 with glycerine as I love the extra vapour this provides. At the moment I'm on DK Tab, but fancy I'll be smoking a little Hilton or TW French Pipe later this evening...

How is everyone that has the evolution getting on with it? Is it still as good?

Actually it's getting better (not something you can often say about an e-cig). The loud atomiser fizz has died off a lot but the vapour is still copious and I get about 8 hours battery life before it flashes at me.:) In a week or so I'll post a 1-month-on review.

my very 1st e cig was the original intellicig and ive now just ordered a EVO to add to my ever expanding collection.

from my previous dealings with john i must say that i found him to be a real nice guy and a gent. customer service is top notch and the products he sells i find to be of a very high standard.

i kind of get the impression that because of other rogue traders that have appeared on this forum some people on here are tarring john with the same brush. i can fully understand that this forum must get a lot of chancers who make profound claims and empty promises but i can honestly say that i do not think john and the intellicig company to be one of them.

lets judge john on his own merits rather than on the actions of others.

i dont even particularly need to buy the EVO as i purchased a new model from Mirage just a couple of days ago which has near enough the exact same features as the EVO but a choice of battery length (review coming soon!). im purchasing the EVO because i was very impressed with the build quality of the original intellicig and because i fully trust john and his company.

i also think that the prices are excellant value for money!

Very happy with my evo's; I ordered 2, one USB and one mains and both give good results. Vapour is good and battery life is excellent when compared to my other devices (getting 4-5 hours from mine).

I now have two 901's, 1 pen, a number of assorted super mini's, a mini fogger on the way and my evo's.

I believe I shall stay with the evo's as my staple e-cig as I prefer this to the 901 or pen.

Prices are very fair; delivery fast and I'm sure if I need customer service, John will be there.

Very happy bunny here!:)

yeah when i got my 901 it actually started to make me smoke analogue cigarettes more! its a good vape but does not make me feel like im smoking in the slightest.......i need something that resembles a ciggie such as my Mirage or the EVO so i can trick my brain into thinking im smoking a proper cigarette!

I am looking for something to take away with me on holiday for two weeks over christmas. I do not at the moment intend smoking analogues and need something reliable for the period, especially as I will be on a tiny island in the middle of the world.
If I have liquid, would you guys recommend the evolution, do you think? Would I be topping off every few drags?
My 901 batteries are starting to play up and have started not to hold a charge that well over the past few days. I need to make some sort of decision fairly quickly, as this next week is the last before I go. Thanks in advance. Suzi

I'd say the EVO really needs cartridges. You can refill the carts but it doesn't seem to last nearly as long as the cartridges.

I'm going up to Scotland for a week for Christmas with my folks and I'll be taking my EVO, my pen and my cigar along with cartridges for the EVO, empty carts for the cigar, carts for the pen and a couple of different flavours of liquid I reckon. Oh, and my screwdriver provided I get it this week.

Gotta make sure I've got enough. I know it's only a week, but just in case. :)

I certainly don't find that you're topping off every few drags with an Evo. The advantage is the long battery life. The carts are small, but if you top them off, let them stand 10 mins and then top off again they'll hold quite a lot of liquid. I'd pack 2 batteries, charger, 2 atomisers and a couple of carts plus a couple of small bottles of e-liquid that would fit neatly into purse/pocket. If you have these made up as two Evos then it's easy to swap to the other one and put a battery on charge. 4 charged batts would be even better, but I'm trying to help you to travel light :)

Why didn't I see this before? I guess I was busy spending money!

Just a thought, BadSeed - not sure how much caning your EVO carts have had as yet, but would it be worth taking the wool/cotton whatever it is out of the carts (can you do this with these?) and giving them a wash, they might have got a bit clogged up.

I did this with a collection of 901 carts last week and it worked very well indeed. Used a tea ball infuser to swoosh them around in boiling water to get 'em clean then dried out on kitchen towel on top of our solid fuel stove (after squeezing out remaining liquid, just over 1ml from about 10 carts) and they survived the experience perfectly. :D

Word of warning tho' don't try it with the rest of the cartridge - it doesn't like it. Destroyed a couple finding that out. I'd hoped to sterilise the mouthpieces that way, perhaps I'll try just steaming them next!
