Im pretty interested in the rebuildable atomizers, seems like a very cheap and effective. So what rebuildable should I look into getting? I have seen the pheonix clone for 9 bucks, but it has issues so that one is out. Also I have heard you can use steel mesh as a wick instead of the silica fibers. Is there any advantage to that?

I'm kind of new at this myself but constantly trying new things. I just picked up 2 UFO Atomizer clones from China $6.00ea & $3.00 for 10 pre-wound wicks. I really like the UFO's but still get that lacking flavor like the Ego-T atomizers have. I think it is my reaction to the Plastic tanks. I have seen the UFO converted to Mesh Wick and the Idea is intriguing. There is a video on U-tube someone from the UK posted showing the setup. Looks fairly simple to convert and should work similar to a mini DID. I may be trying the Mesh Conversion after some time with these.

Ive never tried the Phoenix so can't really speak to that. I use both the genesis style (mesh) rba and a silica/wire rba. They are both excellent and save a lot of time and $$ with ordering supplies. The taste is much better to me than cartos. There is a bit of a learning curve to either method. For me, the silica/wire set up was less intimidating to start with then moved onto using genesis methods. There are methods for using mesh in stead of silica when rebulding and some people prefer this too.

I would determine what your price point is and watch some videos on both methods. This will help you to nail down where your money will be best spent. There seems to be a lot of availability of the rebuildables now so you can get one that is inexpensive to see if you like it before making a big investment.

Someone more experienced will chime in soon, I'm sure. Best of luck on your search!

Thanks Huffelpuff, Yeah Im looking at the Pheonix from vapor...... It looks solid, and I have heard good things about it. I also saw someone that instead of using the wicks uses the mesh in a vertical coil and says it burns cleaner and wicks all juice from the bottom of the atty. But im skeptical on this. Here is a link to it. Reinventing the Phoenix Rebuildable Atomizer « pinoyvaper Looks like its working great for him.

I own two of the DID clones, and two Phoenix dripping attys. I have converted one of the Phoenix attys to a mesh wick. I prefer the mesh wick for durability and vapor production. Flavor is close IMO. Also, IMO, a properly set up steel mesh atty cannot be beat. If you don't mind dripping, go with the Phoenix. Inexpensive rebuildable with plenty of flexibility. If you need a tank, get the best DID clone. If you don't mind spending a little dough, you might want to look at a genesis hybrid. The iHybrid is usually readily available new without having to pay scalpers prices in the classies, and is easier to setup than either of the aforementioned. My fiftieth of a dollar.

I have a vivi nova 2.5 and love it but there is another I'm looking at called the Genesis. I think that will be my next. SVC Storm Genesis RA Tank IN Stock - $34.99 : Stormys Vapor Cellar, Electronic Cigarettes & More

From what I can tell, it's the same DID clone being sold at DiscountVapor here (they renamed it to the Griffin) for $25. So far, my EgoTwist+ViviNova combo is rock solid and meets all my vaping needs so far (hate the occasional burnt taste though), but the DID clone is next on my list of things to try out. :vapor:

As a phoenix fanatic I can tell you that I have not had any issues whatsoever with my phoenix, along with 2 clones. What issues have you heard about..? The clones are pretty much identical to the genuine, and if I could do it again, I wouldn't have bought the genuine. They perform the exact same, look the exact same (except for the top cap), and the quality seems to be the exact same.

I have no idea what that is Mr. Cho. But as far as the pheonix clone goes, i saw a couple reviews on youtube with people having problems with the +post pushing up. But other than that I think the pheonix is what I will end up with for dripping sometimes. Its cheap, easy, I dont mind dripping more often as long as when its low I can stick it in my pocket and not get juice all over myself.

alright thanks a ton... do i got a knock off? D:<

stupid mall people sold me it for 56 bucks...

Don't think too much into it being a overpriced knock-off as long as it helps you get away from those stinky sticks. Just for reference, a genuine Joyeteck EgoTwist for ~$25 and <$20 for a knock-off through reputable venders at ECF. As for your earlier question regarding tanks, you might want to look into a ViviNova here (can re-wick yourself to save $$$ or buy replaceable heads) or Kanger T2 here (cheaper replaceable heads). :vapor:

I haven't used the Phoenix or DID, but I can tell you that for flavor, SS mesh and coil kicks serious booty. Juices will taste different. I use a Zenesis mini and love some of the juices I didn't like much and some of my favorites tasted better with cartos. Thing is, there's nothing to taste but pure juice, so your vape is only as good as whatever you're vaping.

If you need any help with setting something up, JunkyRock is a great guy and knows his way around if not all then most of the rebuildable stuff. Junkyrock13 on youtube, and you could also catch Junky or another guy Jesse "Dzienutz" on Elixirtv.. couple more folks there that are into phoenix, DID, etc. too. elixirtv3 | Stickam
