International Vape Symbol?

Howdy folks,

There's an international symbol for "no smoking", one for airports, one for disabled access, one for.....you get the picture.

Do we have a symbol that can be used by all as an international symbol for vaping. I'm not talking so much about one that shows vaping is allowed or not allowed (it would eventually evolve into that), but one that we could put on a bumper sticker or on t-shirts and hats to identify like minded folks out there in the big wide open. Something all could use to symbolize unity or to give that impression. Something to identify us.

If we don't have one, maybe we can have a contest to identify a dozen entrants, then get them posted on ECF and the suppliers website who are on ECF and get a vote for a symbol. Who knows, could be fun!?! Maybe.

i like the idea of a battery with smoke lines on it, i just wish it looked less like a cigarette. maybe if it was vertical instead of horizontal?

Good start, at first I thought it was great, but the electric shouldn't come from the "ash" end. Feeds the public ignorance and conflates with smoking. Maybe if the electric was full size behind the "e", or something. Or just a big electric bolt with a cig shape in front. The green is good.

I like Bubba's positive and negative idea so i tried to use that with the lightning bolt from steve's found pics. I decided to pretty it up a bit and i liked that a lot more. I wanted to make it look different from a cigarette by turning it upright, and making the top part under the vapor lines less like ashes and more like the threads on my ego. The Vapor bit on top was the most fun to do, you can see what my first try looked like in the 2nd one.

Is it me or is this one of the most creative thread topics -- let alone from a new member!?

A symbol for vaping? What is the symbol for life?



I don't know the entire details of this, but I know this is the Celtic symbol for life and it also could be reinterpreted to convey vapor? Maybe?? LOL . I dig it!

p.s. It's late and I am having a drink. But seriously, there are soooo many cool ideas on this page I am in awe. Great topic! Welcome and I can't wait to see you on the other side.

Well thank you Mr. Mann,

The idea came to me while I was at the antique fair in placerville last weekend. I was approached on 3 occasions by couples. One of them had no idea what I was doing, one had questions as they were new to vaping and one just wanted to talk about different gear. All of us were relatively new. I liked the idea that folks were interested and its at that point I wished I could run around and tell everyone on the street what I was doing and why. So I started wondering how I could get folks to ask me more about vaping.....ham that I am. You take a look around you when you are in crowds and there's shirts and hats with symbols, sayings, etc, for everything ..why not for vaping!

I like the idea of community involvement, hence the post, and we all will need to be involved in the long run to keep the long term prospects for vaping in a positive light.

So far, I really like what's been put up here. Maybe some more participation by more budding artist? Trela and Steved, could you see if you could incorporate Mr Mann's symbol of life into your ideas....maybe as the vapor coming from the PV? Maybe it'll be too much...don't know, but ya'll have a much better handle on the graphics that I do.

Ya'll tell others of this thread, let's get some more ideas and comments.

Aside from that it would be a pain in the neck to make those spirals i think to add that on to it would make it a little too complicated. Button and cartomizer i think would complicate what is meant to be pretty simple.

My original idea was that a battery with vapor around it would be enough to differentiate it from analogs.

What i'd like to do now is to simplify it even further, get out your pencils everybody
