Everyone has at least one web link they go back to time after time either because it is handy or interesting I thought we could start a thread and share those links with the rest of the womans room here is my link

Fantastic Fiction

This site has over 300,000 books listed by author gives a bibliography and a short synopsis about the book. I use this site to find out about series of books when a new book is going to be released or information about an author I have become interested in.

I love snopes.com for debunking urban legends, rumors, or just outright lies!

When I need a laugh, two favorites are awkwardfamilyphotos.com and peopleofwalmart.com. The first posts really wacky and weird family photos - most submitted by the people in them. Believe me, your family will look normal after seeing this.

The second are candid snaps of people found at Walmart. Some photos are funny, some creepy, some outrageous, and some just eerily cringe-worthy. We've all seen these folks at our local wally world.

I get sick of all the forwards that say stuff like "Help find Cindy Lou!" The problem is Cindy is now 33 and has never been abducted! Or all the Jane Fonda forwards..who the heck cares! She has gone so far out of sight most people don't even know who she is. That is the worst thing that can happen to a "Famous" person. She was a jerk then and a nobody now.

Whatever, go here to see if the deoderant causes cancer scare is true or not. Or if George Carlin really wrote the 800 forwards you get daily. Then send the truth back to your friend! Let's stop the madness now.8-o

www.hulu.com

great site to watch some of your fav shows & old movies! Watch right from your computer- You can also sign up for updates to when they post a new episode and when the episodes currently on will be taken off (so ya don't miss them)
All this is FREE!
I watched from work til they websensed us! LOL
I still watch when we travel though- We have DVD and Satellite TV in my van but I am not with cartoons the whole way (especially if we are driving to Florida)
My phone will allow me internet on the road (no card needed- YAY!) So I get full internet no matter where I am-
anyway, a cool site!

Oh! Had to post this one too- If you guys sign up just mention in a comments I sent ya (Moeluv4u7= screenname there)

www.houseparty.com

This is a site that you sign up to throw a house party- Totally FREE and no gimmicks attached!
There are many diff type of houseparties to choose- you have to answer a questionaire and then they will send you an e-mail if they choose you to throw one-
If they choose you they send you everything you need to throw the party! (You will still haveto take care of refreshments if u choose to have them)- ... unless it is like a Orville Redenbachers House Party! That one was cool- They sent 4 packs (full boxes) of diff flavored microwave popcorn, make up for everyone, many other things (I believe this one was for Lipstick Jungle series)
You invite people by the site to come over on... certain date and watch the videos or the tv or whatever the party is...
So, so cool-
definitely worth a look see if you guys are social butterflies- & if you are not this is a great way to start!
*Disclaimer - many people opt to throw a "virtual" party- and then send the items to their friends and family instead so you can.. do that- I guess- LOL
They want you to actually have a party though!
Again Free stuff sent- no gimmicks and no sign up fees etc- All is FREE!
BTW- We did a Star Wars Clone Wars party- they sent a $40- light saber toy & storm trooper costume and a DVD of the Star Wars Clone Wars movie before it came out as series on Cartoon Network and then loads of tattoos and stickers and paper masks for all the other kids- balloons, light stix- Hmm - what else did we get- loads of stuff! We had the party right before my 10 yr olds b-day - he loves the light saber sword and my youngest still plays in the costume (a quality costume)
I also did a Redbook/ warners Party- They sent a DVD on how to size your bust and a tape measure...
They sent 2 bras and a pair of panties from Warners
I got 20 T-shirts to give out to all the guests and coupons for a free bra for everyone! Very cool as well- The panties fit me but both bras were way too big so I gave them as door prizes- Again awesome- check it out!

Had to bring this one back up w/ a Woot!
www.woot.com
That is... This is a site that shows one "woot" deal a day- some are cheapie things but they have some pretty cool stuff sometimes and cheap price for a great deal, lasts 24 hours or until item is sold out...
Then you can check out the Wine Woot, T-Shirt Woot, etc- Pretty cool I check it every day just to see what the "Woot" is...
I have a couple others likethis too if anyone is interested-
