HBV's Apricot is made to be a delicate flavor.. ie subtle and not in your face just as it is described on his webpage.
I'm not one for fruits and certainly don't go with delicate flavors myself... but everything I've vaped in an Evod had good solid flavor that was certainly consistant.
Both settings you mentioned are 6 watts or less... which is on my low side that I vape at. I select my wattage by how the eliquid tastes as well as to not go too high and have it start tasting burnt... The Apricot you listed probably won't take a much ( if any ) higher wattage, but it wasn't made to either.
Get a bottle of GotVape's Hush... it's a fruity vape that can be set at low wattages ( say 5w ) for a pretty light flavor up to higher wattages ( 9+w ) for a more saturated flavor... Personally, I taste peach in it, others have listed several other fruits so it will be different for everyone. It also has a nice heavier undertone that comes out at the higher wattages that I really like. This should let you test out the equipment you have and get a saturated flavor if you set it to higher outputs.
