We are renaming the MaXx to the VOLT X²

Man, the stuff I miss when I'm gone a few days!![]()
Just placed my order for a 650 auto - can't wait for a sale. WOOT.
We are renaming the MaXx to the VOLT X²![]()
They have threads. Mine has them, and someone in the forum verified eGo cones will fit them.
In all honesty, the only thing holding me back from ordering one of these, is that I don't care for black or white, or the chrome. We'll see which comes first: me having to have one even if I have to 'settle' on the color, or SI bringing us some colorful MaxX's.
The Volt X-squared? That's kinda cool; ya know, you could have gone with Volt V2 (V squared). Not exactly accurate, as the voltage is regulated, but a nod in the right direction....although you could be unfortunately confused with another vendor, to Volt's detriment.... ok, :going back to my corner, now:

Ahhh, for a minute I thought this was a new thread for extra long cartos.
So what happened, was there a cease and desist or just a change of heart?
Does this make the packaging collector's items? (assuming the old name actually showed up anywhere but here).
the maxx actually does have threading for a cone and should fit an ego/vgo/echo cone...
We have an xl carto coming and a cone-like new item coming out... we may also be releasing a low cost cone to fit the maxx please stay tuned![]()

1) I think it's gonna hit like a freshly charged battery counterpart. If you prefer sealed autos, then you should go with that. I personally like manuals better, but I don't think that preference is device-specific.Okay I need some advice . . . With the WONDERFUL Sale coming . . . I am seriously considering getting the "Volt X" and especially not waiting any longer untill the XL Cartomizers come out . . . I have been using mostly the Volt 78 auto's and have been charging them with either the old style "Mega PCC" or the "Wall Wart" I got from another vendor, which has worked quit well given that they are the same type of battery, it has an Output: 5V or 0.5A (as marked) . . . So now here are my questions:
1) As for Auto or Manual - I didn't like having to keep using the button on the manual - however would I get a stronger TH hit from this if I did get a manual - compared to the auto (BTW: plan on geting the 1300 if that makes a difference) . . .
2) Do I need to get another "Wall Wart" or will the one I have be sufficent . . .
3) If I do use a "Wall Wart" with this as a "Passthu," can it be used with an extension cord or does it have to be connected directly to the electrical outlet . . .
4) Can this be used with any USB Car Charger or only SI's . . .
In advance - THANK YOU ! ! ! - to all that reply . . .![]()

2) The one you have won't work - I think you need at least 1.5 amps to fire this thing up, like the other passthrough. But it doesn't have to be SI's. If you have one for an iPad (rated at 2 amps) or some other device that's 1.5 amps or higher, that would work.
3) Somewhere in earlier discussion, I think it was settled that an extension cord from the wall to the power supply unit (PSU) is OK. But get a decent quality one - that's how I feel about extension cords in general. Just sayin...
If you only need a couple of extra feet, you can get a longer USB cable too (standard 5-pin mini), but get a fairly thick one, to carry the current.
4) Same as the wall wort - any one will work as long as it's rated at 1.5 amps or more.
...but heck, what do I know?![]()
