Smokeless Image actually has their own "Battery Back-up" called the "POWER PAK" that you should check out, since I live in Florida I got one for the "JUST IN CASE" Moments called when a Hurricane comes my way and "HITS" . . .

Here is the link to the product:Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Power Pack - Accessories

Would something like this (For only $7.84 each when QTY 50+ purchased - Mini USB Backup Battery Pack for Smart Phones, Cell Phones and Cameras (1900mAh) – Black | Back Up External Battery and Charger) work to charge the x2 in a pinch? obviously it would be very slow, but i have one for my phone and it's very handy when there are no better options.

Thanks Uncle. I have seen that and it looks like a good power source, the biggest reason for looking at the other is the rather significant price difference.

Yea - I know . . . I was looking too for something a little less expensive also, especially since I am on a very limited and now tight budget like a lot of people today . . . But with the "Big Sale" SI had just before St Patrick's Day (Didn't expect it to be bigger - and maybe I should have waited a little longer) - however it was well worth it . . . Matter of fact, it will power a number of things I have - even though I already have a power inverter I can use in "my" car . . . The only other one I want and will really "NEED" to get eventually will be a solar powered battery back-up, there was a thread on the main forum that had a few there - just not the "right" price yet for "Me" so I am still lookin' . . . ;)

My Black 900 Manual arrived today. The feel and size of this thing is perfect!

I wish I had more good news, but unfortunately the only cartos I have are the KR-808D-1 ClearoCartos and these things are a nightmare...once I get home from work I will be throwing a left over Fluxomizer on it and seeing how that bad boy vapes. I can already tell this is my be all end all when it comes to batteries...not too much...not too little.

The pass-thru feature is perfect for me too, no more need to switch my cart between battery and other pass through.

Are these things safe to hook directly to a computer usb and vape? Since it's technically charging the battery rather than pulling power straight from the port?

Imagine, you suggested it might be better to use a hub in response to this post. As a noob, is that because of the different carts? I have ordered the new manual passthrough, but will be using volt carts. Is it ok to vape through my pc USB? Thanks.

no a hub is always a safer bet when you plug anything into your PC... just in case of a mishap it protects your PC from damage... the regular cigarette size passthrough should really be used in a hub or with the 1.5 wall adapter for correct power...it needs 1.5a

I just want to say that I got the 650 & 900 mah batts and I love them. The first day I got them for some reason they felt very airy when vaping and so I left a review that I should have waited on. Since that first day they have been working wonderfully. They are all I currently use. Now I just need to save more money to buy a few of the 1300 mah batts. Thanks SI

Thank you Imagine. What if I just charge it and don't use it as a passthrough? Should I still get a hub? I don't have a hub, and being a little bit of a minimalist, don't really want one.

I don't have AC power either, as we are in OZ and use a different outlet. I went to purchase an ipad/ipod clone usb charger, but the store told me I shouldn't use it on my e-cig, so that confused me. Is there any particular AC charger I can use to charge, that you know of? The voltage to look for? Thank you! :)

the x2 should have no issue charging on a pc so you should be fine :)

My X2 came in the mail today. Imagine--shouldn't these work with the "stealth" end cap on? The only way mine will work, is if I take the cap off. At first I thought it was a carto connection problem (tried quite a few), then I took the cap off to see if the LED was even lighting up. And, presto! It works with the cap off, but not on. And with the cap loosened by a couple of turns, it kinda works, but requires a lot of, well, work.

That makes 3 of us now. Mine will work with it on, but it works better with the cap off, and better still when plugged in.

I'd suggest keeping it plugged in until the blue light goes out (fully charged) then give it another try.
