introducing vaping to parents

my father and stepmother both smoke the stinkies.
my dad quit for 20+ years and started again and now he's struggling to quit.

i'm curious on how to bring it up to introduce it to them.

The way I introduced it to my dad who is very stand off ish if i talk to him about smoking is waiting for him to ask me what the hell i was smoking on, let him start the conversation

Tell them openly and honestly why you switched and why you like it. Let them try it, that is what I did for my MIL.

Do you vape or are you just wanting to get the folks interested? Usually the best way is to let someone try it. If you don't vape, or don't know someone who could let them try it, then I would suggest maybe getting links to a few good videos about it. I was interested in trying it after seeing one my SIL had, but my son (who has never smoked except a couple times when he was deployed in Iraq) bought me an njoy at walmart and it was disgusting. If I hadn't already seen some videos about good flavored e juice, I probably wouldn't have wanted to go any further after trying that disposable one.

I exposed my parents who didnt even know I smoked when i asked for an ego kit for my 22nd birthday. They didnt get it for me.

my family has never smoked. ever. i think thats one reason i picked it up was to defy them. but i am happy to say that my family supports me quitting and my father paid for my last ego upgrade.

i am just happy they accept it and not dismiss it as a passing fancy.

I was in the same boat. I waiting until they came over to my house. I have a "No Smoking" rule in my house. (The smell kills me after I quit smoking.) It was chilly outside and I handed my PV to my dad and said, "Here. Why go outside in the cold when you can use this?" Then he and my Stepmother were passing it back and forth. It was a good opener. I explained what it was and handed them some sample bottles of different flavors that I thought they might like. Just act natural.

My mother was the same way. She watched a family member die of lung cancer, so she nagged me all of the time. (Like a good mother.) When I picked up vaping, she was thrilled. She has never smoked, but still asks me to show smokers my mod when we are out and about.
