Hey there! Decided I would finally stop lurking and register. Thank you all so much for building this resource :)

First of all, the questions, so you don't have to read anything:

-How bad is dripping for your atomizer, really?
-How many drips can you drop before saturating the atomizer and possibly harming the electronics?
-How many drops would you say is equivalent to one traditional cigarette (i.e. 5 mins of vaping)
-What would you recommend for a 2nd and third model in a penstyle and mini-but-not-cigarette-looking variety, for someone who has a Sedansa Nano (just plain nano, not 1 or 2) and is loving it?
-What exactly does an automatic cleaning cycle do, and can you clean your atomizer manually?
-How hardy are Sedansa atomizers? Will I be requesting warranty replacements so often that I should buy a backup, or will I be fine?
-Can you clean carts without removing the stuffing? By Just letting them soak for a longer time and dry for a much longer time?
-How much e-smoking does a 10mL bottle of liquid represent? In terms of analogue cigarettes, as it seems carts vary far too wildly for comparison.
-When using a smokingeverywhere penstyle, I tend to cough violently on the larger draws. Is this normal for a new e-smoker, or is it a defect of the smokingeverywhere juice or atomizer? I can't really compare, as my sedansa is perfectly consistent (and damn near perfect) in vapor production.
-Sedansa said they removed propylene glycol from their carts... anyone have any idea what they replaced it with?
-Has anyone used an e-pipe, and what e-pipe would you reccomend?

Now to the introduction and details.

I found e-smoking and this site, ironically, while trying to find out how much an automated electronic cigarette maker would cost me. :p I have been a heavy smoker for over a decade, usually one and a half packs a day, up to 3 packs a day when I smoked in my apartment. For the past couple of years I have constantly lamented that I want to quit smoking, but not nicotine, that wonderful neurotropic miracle drug. However, to my knowledge no reasonable or affordable long-term replacement option existed. I even convinced a doctor to write me a standing prescription for those analogue nicotine inhalers, but there was no way I could afford them. Enter the choir of angles that sung dulcet hosannas when I found this site.

Based on some reviews and a preference poll, I decided to go with sedansa, especially considering their 30% sale at the time. I got a Nano with a ton of turkish carts. Well, there was some shipping delays, and I got so bloody impatient that I drove about an hour up I-5 to visit a smoking everywhere kiosk. I had read the warnings and reviews, and told myself I was just going to try it out. Well, part of me knew what was going to happen, and sure enough my need for instant gratification won out and I shelled out $150 for a penstyle. The thing is a piece of garbage, as I'm sure you all know.

Anyway, my sedansa finally came, and I absolutely love it. It's undoubtably a quality peice of hardware, and you can't beat the 5-year warranty (The case is bloody awesome btw) There are two problems however:

1) The flavor I got, turkish blend, tastes like a cafeteria warming tray full of ... and burning plastic.
2) The carts, by necessity of the form-factor I believe, are really small. Like, 5-10 analog cigarettes small. Small enough that if I were to order them exclusively it would be more expensive than smoking.

Both of these problems however are moot, as I was planning on switching to liquid to refill/drip anyway. At first dripping sounded horrible to me, like freebasing nicotine, but now that I've seen the device, realized that the atomizer itself is absorbent, and tried it, I'm damn near sold. And I also like the idea of giving my e-smoking sessions a clear beginning and end, like a real cigarette, as that's been one of the biggest stumbling blocks in my switch.

So, I'd love recommendations for my next models. I'm pulling a major **** move and reselling the smoking everywhere penstyle on craigslist, and would like to buy one or two other e-cigs. Specifically I want a penstyle, and a mini that doesn't look like a cigarette (something along the lines of the mini fogger)

Here are my thoughts and concerns:

My friend got a penstyle from puresmoker, and while it looks awesome, is super affordable, and is far better than the smokingeverywhere garbage, he's having allot of problems with it and a two-week warranty makes me a bit nervous.

I love good smoke volume, but on the bigger puffs provided by the smokingeverywhere penstyle, I tended to cough violently. I think this might be because while I smoked tons of analogue cigs, I always smoked ultra-lights. But I'm not sure if this was the crappy atomizer "burning" the liquid, or if I just can't handle that big of a cloud of vapor in my lungs. Any thoughts or experiences on the matter would be nice.

I would really like to buy brands that are consistent and durable, backed by a warranty.

And I would like blue L.E.D.s >.>

Right now I'm thinking of Janty, puresmoker, or possibly another sedansa(but they're sooo expensive.) Any other recommendations or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I know all this can be found in the forums, but there's so much info and reccomendations spread so far apart, and so many conficting opinions, and model numbers, that it's a bit overwhelming, and I can't seem to get a clear idea out of it. =/

Thanks in advance for your advice, and thanks for this wonderful site!

-Yours

P.S. To the board operators: I have a little suggestion... perhaps have a section of sub-boards broken down by brand and model for standardized reviews. Would make life allot easier for those of us looking for advice. :)

Wow, talk about a first post :)

Well, Im with you on most points. Let me answer your questions as I can. Im somewhat new too, so dont take my word for bond.

-How bad is dripping for your atomizer, really?

On my peewee model, Ive gone thru 4, dripping only on it. In 1.5 months. Drip on my 901 from PS, havent had any that failed due to the dripping.

-How many drips can you drop before saturating the atomizer and possibly harming the electronics?

Most say 2. I use 2-3.

-How many drops would you say is equivalent to one traditional cigarette (i.e. 5 mins of vaping)

Depends on the juice and strength. But 2-3 drips gives you 7-10 puffs or so, which is about a traditional cig

-What would you recommend for a 2nd and third model in a penstyle and mini-but-not-cigarette-looking variety, for someone who has a Sedansa Nano (just plain nano, not 1 or 2) and is loving it?

Ive been using the Pee Wee and 901, waiting for the m401. Pee Wee in black w/blue LED at PS isnt ciggy looking, but is in shape.

-What exactly does an automatic cleaning cycle do, and can you clean your atomizer manually?

Turns on, heats atomizer really hot, some say this damages it too. There are cleaning tips, search the forums for it tho, too many to list.

-How hardy are Sedansa atomizers? Will I be requesting warranty replacements so often that I should buy a backup, or will I be fine?

- Cant say

-Can you clean carts without removing the stuffing? By Just letting them soak for a longer time and dry for a much longer time?

Ive removed, run under water, dried with paper towl. Havent tried any other way.

-How much e-smoking does a 10mL bottle of liquid represent? In terms of analogue cigarettes, as it seems carts vary far too wildly for comparison.

Most people say that they smoke 2ml a day, which is usually representative of a pack of cigs. I think there is a thread with the breakdowns on the forum here.

I havent used it, but i was a heavy smoker and the light vapor production on some models made me want more. I guess its personal preference. If you dig the sedansa, I would stick with it, and try some others out when you have extra cash to play with.

-Sedansa said they removed propylene glycol from their carts... anyone have any idea what they replaced it with?

VG is often used, and someone mentioned recently a new ingredient PEG. Again, thread on forum here about it.

-Has anyone used an e-pipe, and what e-pipe would you reccomend?

Nope, but Im curious too. :)

And, regarding the models - Check this out: E-Cigarette Models

Not done yet, but working on it.
