Well, I'll try this again. I had a long intro post typed in, but when I submitted it , I got the "not logged in" error and lost it.
Anyway, I'll try to be brief.
First, a little about myself. I'm 55 and have been smoking for over 40 years, with a few attempts at quitting in between. I have a wife of 26+ years and 2 young daughters (6 and 2.9). Took us 20 to have our first, thought it would take another 20 for the second....WHOOPS!
I'm thinking of trying vaping to help quit smoking, since my BIL showed me his eCig. My Doctor also mentioned them, along with the "usual suspects" of smoking cessation aids, all expensive. I did try the patch, once, but still had cravings.
I've been looking for a local supplier here, as I can't order anything online. I did find a place that sells them, but haven't been able to get there, yet.
I see most here have been successful. So much to consider, though, a lot more than I thought. I will say, from the multitude of posts I've read so far, you're a very supportive group. (Thanks Google.)
One question I have is, has anyone quit vaping as well as smoking? My wife has concerns, as do I, that I will be trading one addiction for another. The startup expense look steep, but less so in the long run, depending on supplies/GAS, (oh sorry, musicians illness
) than tobacco and tubes. I roll my own, so it's a lot cheaper than TM's, but still too much $ wasted. I'm also getting tired of running out of tobacco and having to bum smokes or worse, find butts on the street to get it from. YUCK! (Yeah, I'm one of those.
)
Well, enough about me, how's everyone else doing?
