Introduction + Questions regarding voltage and ohm comparisons

This is my very first post on here(Although I've been reading threads for months now), so I figure I'll give my introduction and share my vaping experience so far.
* In case you want to skip my introduction I have underlined the questions I have below =)

My name is Blake and I've been cigarette free for over 2 months now! vaping has become a really fun hobby for me as well as a good alternative to smoking cigarettes. I've even converted a few friends of mine to vaping haha.
So I started out vaping on an Ego-T Kit. I wasn't very impressed with the Ego-T atomizer so I decided to take my Ego-T battery and slap on a LR Resurrector carto from CCV. It worked really well so I bought several of the Resurrector cartos. I also got a chibi tank which I love it and recommend it.

I recently decided to upgrade to the lavatube variable voltage mod. (The lavatube is pretty awesome by the way). I've been experimenting from 3.7v to 4.2v on the resurrectors. It's a really good vape but I've never tried anything above 4.2v in fear of blowing or burning the carto. I'd really like to take full advantage of my VV mod and try higher voltages on higher ohm cartos, but I'd like to get some opinions/answers/suggestions from more experienced vapors.

Q:Is there a chart somewhere that shows the recommended range of voltage for a particular ohm cartomizer?
*I'd like to try to avoid blowing my carto by trying it at a too high of a voltage. lol

Q:Is there any difference in amount of vapor, flavor, and ect between a 1.7 ohm carto on 3.7v (8 watts) and a 3 ohm carto on 4.9v (which also 8 watts)?

Q:Is it true that LR cartos drain batteries faster than REG or HR cartos even if it's the same wattage (such as the above comparison)?

Q:Which cartomizer would you recommend if I want to vape at 6v?

I presume there is no difference. If you've been here long enough you'll find this is a subjective thing. Some find too much vapor induces coughing, some find it exhilarating. There are some who say at 6V with a 2 ohm carto vaping is heavenly. And I say BS. Who would vape regularly at those given values? I'd rather believe a car salesman than crap like that. At the end of the day, it's about what you want. I was okay with the vapor production, TH and flavor using minis and penstyles. I'm not going to spend 200 bucks for a device which I know will make very little difference.

I see your point, I've had lots of friends try my lavatube and cough immediately lol. I personally like big throat hit and some juices need a bit more voltage to really let the flavor shine. But I agree with you there 200 bucks is ridiculous but the lavatube was only 100 bucks and IMHO I'm really glad I bought it.

    And the hit is NOT the same even at the same wattage. the Higher volt with higher resistance is different than same wattage at low.

    Just remember that "different" is not necessarily better, it's just different. You get to decide for yourself which you like best.

    My observation tho;
    one 3ohm carto @ 4.5-5v will out last a box of 2ohm cartos @ 3.7v.

    I'll second that and with the more expensive ones it's not just mathematics, I think the quality variations are smaller with the higher ohm ones

    I've vaped 1.6 ohm Boge cartos at 4.2v. The vapor just plumes at that voltage, but it can get harsh. I usually use LR cartos at 3.4 to 3.7v and 3 ohm cartos in the 4.5 to 6v range.

    Wattage should be wattage, but atomizer design can affect the vape. I have a Little Dwarf 3 ohm atty that can take high voltage, but the draw is heavier, so you have to pull harder to get the vapor. Theoretically, wattage equals heat in terms of resistance, but some coils can be heavier wire with fewer turns and others can be lighter wire with more turns to equal the same resistance. That, and the way the coil is presented to the juice in the filler or the bowl can affect vapor and flavor.
