Hello everyone!

Just though I would introduce myself to all you like-minded individuals. I have been lurking for a few days and this site seems to be the answer I was looking for: a community of people who can help me on my quest to sub out my carton a week habit. I know most people go on a pack per day, but I tend to drink on weekends, which means I smoke more during this time.

I have tried many different gas station type subs, and while a few have worked out decently, I always end up smoking while drinking. I also suffer from withdrawal symptoms while using my store brand e-cigs, although the head aches may be from constantly puffing on my e-cig.

My past experiences have lead me down a path of njoy brand e cig kits, envy e cig kits, and after my envy ran out (bought it on vacation cause Mom offered to pay for an e cig if I used it, it worked decently but left me puffing for a throat hit, and no one sold refill cartos for it around the house), I used some gas station disposables. I really enjoyed the logic black label, which was about the same width as a camel wide and about as long as the 120's Grandma smokes. While I was dropping 5-10 bucks every 2 days on a disposable cig, I started looking around for something long term which can be found no matter where I am, which lead me to Blu.

Blu ecigs (49.99 old type starter kit with charger, 2 bats, and 5 pack sampler, not individually sealed so all flavors taste kind of like the others) sold me on the idea of 2 bats, one on charger while other is being used (my envy ran out quickly and left me stranded at six flags once, and that sucked). This product gets the job done, but just barely. Like I said, I have to constantly puff to get enjoyment out of it, and it is hard to enjoy something that you have to work so hard at. There are many people here who suggest some great sounding products and while my monthly smoking bill would probably cover a provari or other uber device, I still have many things to learn and figure out while I make a decision on what to get. I will in the mean time use my Blu starter kit while I do this research.

I am very excited to be a part of this community and look forward to learning about what I can do to replace a habit I enjoy but feel guilty about with something I can enjoy and feel less guilty about.

I will see you all around after I get my five posts up.

Lol, I used to smoke 100's, and I have seen some vids on ut about the twist, it is gigantic compared to the ones I used to smoke, but that is fine with me, I think I can get away pulling out a 1000mah at work and not have too many people laugh at my "pipe". I dont mind carrying something that size around, I an forced to carry around a charging pack anyway, so it will probably be ok. Hopefully I can avoid the man purse though :)

Welcome to ECF and congrats on making a start ;) You can get a headache from too much nicotine too fast, when it happens to me it is usually accompanied by a queasy stomach. Or your headaches can just be your body noticing the change and reacting.

I don't know if you're set on using a cig look a like or if you want something that lasts longer and holds more juice, but you don't need something big and expensive to start. I started out on Ego's and vaped them for a year or so before I started buying bigger stuff. I still have a few around for out and about when I don't want to haul out a Provari or SB and be really obvious, like the grocery store, Walmart, restaurants, etc.

First I think I'd find something that satisfied the nic need and makes you comfortable and then use that as your body, tastebuds and lungs get better.

Welcome, welcome - you will get so much info around here it'll make your head spin

Congrats on making the decision to get rid of the stinkies - best thing I ever did, and I'm still amazed every day that it's actually WORKING!! I have no desire for a smoke, and I find that pretty incredible.

It's funny, I feel the same way, its actually WORKING! I can't speak for you, but IMO it is sad that I am so addicted to cigs that I can't imagine something actually WORKING, lol.

Now in a perfect world I would be able to walk from the addiction and never look back, but then the "sadness" sets in, I start thinking back on my life and all the great times I had with my friend the cig, all the great times camping, riding roller coasters, gambling, drinking with friends, playing cards, the list goes on and on. This mentality is of course the reason I continue to smoke, as I am able to walk from cigs cold turkey during the week and pick the habit up at the first cold taste of beer on the weekend.

Im just happy that I have something that may be better for me. At the very least I can use the same excuse my Grandma uses when people ask her why she started smoking "They didn't know it was bad for you back then." I do feel the effects though so even if they are perceived only that is enough for me.
