not really just one of the many places where I thought I might get odd looks I want to convert as many people as possible so that the FDA cause kiss all are (insert word) plus I've been meaning to get a rematch with one of my friends he turned 18 a few months ago so we went in the smoked stupid amounts of cigar then he handed me my pride with a pool stick:cry:

I do go to Tulsa every week or so on business and eat at the bonefish grill or fish daddy's and stealth vape. Had a few stares but no problems so far.

Hello, Tina here, long time OKie - part time resident. We moved from south Tulsa to MO 7 years ago, but are planning our escape back to full time OKie.

I found this site after I tried my sis' smokeanywhere (i knew there had to be somethin better out there). I found it too..thanks to this forum. Those videos were GREAT, wasnt long before I got this dse901 bad boy from Rob at VaporKings. The batteries have much to be desired, but now that I have a passthru I can vape like a freight train.

I've picked up alot of tips here, gonna be packing my own carts before too long, havent decided if i'm gonna get the lipton teabags or try the fluval - any opinions? For me right now, it is all about saving money, so I have had to try different vendors to accomplish that.

Although we still smoke, we're down to 3-5 analog a day from 2 packs. We're feelin pretty good about ourselves......

Glad I found ya'll

Well event though this group isn't very active, I joined so I guess I should post a hello. So umm, Hi everyone. I'm Travis. I live in a itty bitty town called Shidler about 25 miles east of Ponca City. I've lived my life as an Okie, and plan to die as one.

I'm currently using a 510 and love it so much, that I have also purchased kits for my mom, stepdad and sister. My mom chooses to use my automatic Joye306 batteries with a 510 atty though. I have a friend I'm fixing to purchase one for when cignot gets the no box kits back in stock (I order all my PCC's and everything thats not more expensive than cignot from Rob with Vapor Kings to support Oklahoma suppliers).

I also have a 901 Passthrough I from Rob to check out vaping at 5 volts, and I have a mod 510 currently on order through another forum. Hopefully we can start making this forum a little more active and all get to know each other!

Hi Travis!
I'm in Tulsa, and I have a son up in Ark City, so I know your area pretty well.

You should check out Steve at alternasmokes.com too.
He's over in Claremore, and has fantastic juices.

I had actually checked out his website at the same time I checked out Robs at Vapor King. I learned of both of them from reading posts here in the Okie Vapors forum. I saw he only sells the 901 and has the same problem with juices that Rob does, which is 26mg being the highest and not selling 50ml bottles. I currently vape 36mg juice, and buying in 50ml is just more economical.

Hi there everyone! My name is Julie and I live in Tulsa. I'm so glad I found this forum. I quit smoking about a year ago when I graduated from college, then started back up the day I began grad school. My doc recommended trying an e-cig to quit as I really wasn't myself when I went on zyban (which is how I quit the first time). So I found this site while doing research and it was seriously a life saver! Too many names/options/juices and just plain crazy lingo to navigate individual suppliers sites. About 2 months ago after a lot of research I bough a 2 manual battery 510s and a PCC from e-smokeytreats. Had a lot of headaches the first week, and promptly went back to analogs. 2 weeks I gave it another try and I haven't had any problems since. Still smoke maybe 2-3 analogs a week, usually when I'm drinking with friends. Today I modded a few carts with the blue aquarium foam from southern agriculture and it is doing awesome! I was having a lot of trouble at first with getting polyfill caught in the atomizers and getting nasty burnt wool taste. blech. This seems to have solved it very well and I am having ro refill my carts much less frequently. So far my juice collection includes peach, watermelon, caramel, ry4, camel, and coffee from e-smokeytreats and a 5 pack of various ecopure vg liquids. Tried the vg liquid to remedy the headaches, but hated the taste - too syrupy. Favorites so far are watermelon, camel, and caramel. Hate the coffee:p Tastes burnt. So yeah, thats my vaping experience thus far, nice to know there are some other okie vapers out there--I haven't seen anyone else with an e-cig yet in tulsa. Pretty soon I'm going to try to get my dad to try it...he has copd and is still smoking. Anyone have a suggestion for a really good menthol liquid for someone who has smoked kool milds for 30+ years?

Hi, Reared in the great state of Okla. in Sand Springs, live in Norman now. Started vaping a little over a month ago. Needed badly to quit the analogs for health reasons. Thus far I have dropped a large sum on liquids and supplies. Now have 4 510s and ordered a chuck that likely won't come in for another 10 days. I have ordered liquids from a several suppliers and do like Tasty Vapor (really good). What I got from Totally Wicked was great on their tobacco flavored brew. Do want to find the healthier way to go with liquids; lurking here as I have for several weeks, I've seen discussions on PG and AG and pros and cons on PG. I know it has a real chemical smell to me, what do others seem to think on this? Greetings to all fellow Okies!

In the land of no hills and red dirt
Hey from far NW OKC....or far SE Piedmont, whatever. Born and raised in Clinton, life long red dirter except for four years of undergrad.

Started with a 6v copper for myself and a dse905 for the wife last Thursday. Had only two cigarettes since then with nary a thought of homicide. Haven't had to wake up and microwave the bed buddy packs for her smoking induced sinus headaches since then.

Hello to everyone on the forum.

I'm wondering if people in OKC can get together and start an e-cig cooperative...where everyone can pitch in and buy their stuff from Healthcabin or wherever in bulk to save on shipping costs and possibly get a wholesaler discount? Just a thought...

Hi all! I'm Dana. Not a newbie, but new to this group. I started e-smoking months ago, but couldn't put down the analogs. It really seemed to be worse on my lungs doing both than it was just doing analogs....so..... I stepped away for awhile. (the reasoning could have worked just as well the other way, but that's the nature of the addiction:sneaky:)

I live in Inola, and work in Tulsa as a mechanical designer. I have a GG that isn't working properly right now (haven't contacted Imeo about it yet), a 901, and a Magnum mod that is just killer. I ordered a 902 from Cigeasy a couple of days ago, as I'm curious as to how good the flavor is using the 902 cartomizers. I started Chantix 3 days ago and hope to lay down the analogs for good. I want to maintain my ecig supply because I intend to use the ecig instead of an analog when the stress hits after I've been on the Chantix a while.

Favorite vape right now is a pg/vg homebrew mix of pecan and caramel.:p

Hi my name is Cris....I've been vaping for a week today and I LOVE it! I started with a blucig and ordered a 510 before I even received it after finding ECF and reading alot of posts. I haven't had an analog since I got my 510 and have already ordered starter kits for my husband and a friend from work. Glad to see there are other vapers in Oklahoma!

Norman OK
20 year pack a day marl light smoker here. I learned about ecigs during this last thanksgiving just surfing the net. Wife ordered me a Greensmoke kit for xmas, then I found v4l and these forums. I ordered my UU kit from v4l and haven't picked up an reg cig since the day my Greensmoke arrived, Jan 1st 2010. I was and still am so suprised how easy it is to quit smoking using this product. V4l is great with lots of freebies (extra battery and 10 extra random flavor carts). I'm a systems engineer in Altus, OK but my home is and will always be Norman since that's where I went to college. I make several trips to Norman every month just to do some shopping with my wife or see family. I've been vaping for 13 days now and I've already converted someone over to vaping that has been smoking for over 50 years. She loves her new ecig but is afraid to lay it down anywhere but an ashtray for fear that she'll burn down her house. =) Silly little old ladies. I don't really know her but I got a freebie batt and some xtra carts I let her use, 2 days later she had me ordering her stuff. Anyway, enough rambling. If there are any Altus or Norman vapers around, let's trade some carts or something sometime.

Hullo all im another Tulsan joining the forum. I have been smoking for 14 years now at about a pack a day depending on stress. I was recently deployed to the Sand Box and decided that i had to stop smoking, with all the stress was starting to hit 2 packs a day. I got my first Juice Box and 510 starter 2 weeks ago and have had only one analog since when i was stranded with no batteries. Seems like alot of really nice people her and i look forward to chating with all of you

Finally... Was easy after I figured out I had to join the group first. :)

Howdy ya'll!!

Live in SW OKC with lovely wife of 31+ years. Been smoking for 35+ years and am fast approaching 1 month anniversary being smoke free. Even wife is surprised though still harasses me about vaping all the time. I tell her to just be glad I am off cigarettes for now.

Only used the KR808D, carts, and juices from V4L but just received some juice from TV also. Favorite flavors thus far are menthol and banana. Liked some tobacco flavors but wife said still smelled like tobacco, not smoke, just tobacco so stay with flavors pleasant to others. Will sneak a tobacco in every once in a while when in garage working. Only problems I'm having are finding the mg level for the different flavors I like and lack of battery life. Have a PCC but get tired of changing batteries all day especially on weekends. Seriously considering a box mod using a 14500 protected battery.

Laterz...

Welcome. I think mods are the way to go. They cost a little more but they save a lot of money on the batteries. East mall has one with a full set of adapters for $59. plus shipping. I bought one for a gift and I am well pleased.
I started out making box mods but the cheap parts especially switches failed too fast. I use a GG and love it. There is a lot of mods available so you shouldn't have any problem getting a mod that satisfies your needs.
