I was kind of lusting over how awesome the DCA looks and the ability to use whatever drip tip I choose. But, alas, I'm in love with the i06. So this is pretty exciting news! Not that I've ever had a problem with it leaking but the drip tips are terrible. The black delrin one is "ok," it works halfway. I just have to take it off to drip effectively. I was looking at the pyrex DT but I think i'd rather spend the bucks on one of these bad boys when they come out

Thanks Triple. I've been only using 510 atties and I'm a total newbie to i06 and 306.
I was just about to purchase i06 atties and was wondering if 510 tips would fit in. I guess not.
Can I ask a few questions?

1) The I06 comes with drip shield(outter shell that covers the atty?) but doesn't come with a drip tip?
2) Is it better idea to get one of these then? io6 Silhouette Drip tip - IkenVape Store
3) Would this also fit i06 atty? 306 Derlin Drip Tip - IkenVape Store

1) The I06 does not come with a shield and does not come with a drip tip.
2) This is the drip tip I got. It fits the I06 but only slides about half way down on the atty, but not a problem. I don't push it down hard so it doesn't get stuck.
3) The delrin drip tip will not fit the I06 I don't think. It's too wide. The 306 is a fatter atty than the I06. I think it's a 510 diameter on the 306, and the I06 is narrower.

I think this is right. If anyone know different, let me have it.

DCA stands for drip cup adapter, at least I'm pretty sure it does. I would reccomend getting the black delrin drip tip for the io6. The silhouettes don't slide all the way over the body of the atty. io6 Delrin Drip tip - IkenVape Store I have both, and strongly prefer the black delrin. It just bugs me that the silhouettes only cover up half the atty. Looks silly in my opinion. And the DCA is sealed, so no bottom feeders. The purpose is so it'll catch juice (like a drip shield) and funnel back into the atty as you vape.

Reverse that and you've got it. The 306 is narrower. The i06 is roughly the same diameter as a 510.

Hoping it's just an additional adapter and NOT a completely re-designed unit!

I think it will have to be a completely new unit. You can test this yourself by putting an i06 with plastic sleeve it comes with in the DCA and draw on it. The draw is pretty tight. The aluminum top sleeve for the i06 will be thicker than the plastic sleeve, and I don't think the draw will be there. The bottom section of the DCA will need a slightly wider inside diameter to accommodate the i06.

Here's a pic showing an assembled black DCA 306 on my Ego passthrough. Above that is a disassembled polished DCA. You put the atomizer into the piece on the right (upper), and then screw that into the piece on the left (lower). You take the complete DCA and screw it onto the top of your mod. You can then adjust the airflow to your liking by screwing the top piece out a little bit. It works very well and looks pretty awesome as well.

I can't wait for it to be honest - I really don't like the I06 drip tips, I find that juice gets stuck in them quite a bit and I end up getting juice in my mouth constantly (I like BWB malty and ecopure quite a bit, and they're both very thick juices). The DCA should fix this issue and let me enjoy them a lot more.

maybe but im still hoping. I don't think there is any other atomizer out there that has the same diameter as the io6 and building a completely dca for it doesnt sound as good on a business perspective. Not like the 306's per se.. Several companies like ikv, cisco, ma carries it with minimal difference in sizing. again, Who knows right unless isaac spill some infos lol.

I'm hoping too, but the bottom part was designed for the significantly smaller diameter 306. There just doesn't seem to be the clearance for the i06 and top piece. The i06 is touching the sides of the bottom piece. The way the DCA gets it's airflow is down the sides.

For another test... People have been using 510 carto sleeves on their i06's. I've put an IKEN 510 atty in the DCA, and there is no draw.

Great news to wake up to today :)

Nice! Hoping that doesn't mean months of beta testing, finally going up on the site, and then it's out of stock! Haha Really, I can't wait. I accidentally yanked an io6 clean apart yesterday because I was trying to get the TERRIBLE silhouette drip tip off. What a waste of an io6, and all for that terrible thing I could've done without. Can't stand my lack of options on drip tips, and the DCA just looks amazing. I'll be a very happy camper when it "hits the shelves" so to speak

Use a hair dry to heat up the drip tip / atty. Get it pretty hot and you should be able to work the tip off. This has worked well for me after wasting an IO6 like you did. Thanks to 'switched', I think for this hint.

I now mod  my silhouette drip tips. I take a small piece of emery paper and wrap it around the shank end of a #12 drill bit (approx: 3/16 inch) and sand the inside of the shilhouette. Do a little at a time and you can get a good fit. My tips now go on and off very easily. I also drill out the tip to enlarge the hole for 'dripping'. At first I was quite annoyed with these tips but 5 minutes of time to 'tune' them and I really like 'em.
