Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!lol I've been looking at this vaporizer for quite awhile now. I have a couple other vaporizers and couldn't see paying that much for another one, but finding out it can be used as an e-cig... SOLD!!!! Just placed an order at my favorite place and can't wait to get it!!! Thanks for the info!:thumb::D

I've tried a whole standard snus soaked with PG in mine and it was way too much. Did you just frop the contents straight into the herb chamber without adding any PG or VG?

Yes frog, just the damp contents of the wrap. It is quite damp by default. Given about 90secs to heat up, it was producing vapour for 20mins :)
I gave up on it early as 20mins was enough lol

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to purchase one from a UK member here that is reportedly minimal used and a couple months old for a price equivalent to half of what they want for new at one of "those" shops here in Ottawa, Canada.

I'm looking forward to more use video's and FAQ's/Instruction once it arrives for sure as this looks like a very satisfying alternative option to the e-cig if not just to use as a flip flop to mix things up a bit.

I'll be watching your progress and reporting Frog with great interest !!

Thank You for bringing this product use into the forefront....

OK I got mine Friday afternoon. I haven't had time to play with it much due to working long hours. So far the "tobacco" vaping leaves alittle to be desired, I'll have to work on that area more he he. As far as using the e-liquid goes this thing is great so far. I just dropped a few drops right into the bowl and vaped it up. Does the cotton help with anything? One of the videos I watched showed the guy just putting a few drop in and vaping. Seems to work just fine. I just used a q-tip and it cleaned right up. Also the plastic screw on stem melted right off in the unit. Had to let it cool and work it out. Thank goodness they sent me the metal one too. All in all a great new toy. Can't wait till I have more time to play with it.

You're very welcome :)

I find that dripping juice straight into the bowl makes it all boil away too quickly. The flavour goes in about 30 seconds, and all the juice is gone in a couple of minutes. By adding cotton wool and dripping onto it, the liquid vaporizes more slowly and gives you a longer session instead of one massive hit. You might love the massive hit though - its a case of finding what works for you.

Hello all, I am really interested in this device. I am currently a pack-a-day analog smoker and was wondering if this unit would be a good replacement for smoking. Here are my questions:

1. How long does a bowl last on the iolite. Let's say I fill it with tobacco, would it last me most of the day? I usually smoke about 10 analogs during work and am hoping that one bowl would cover that.

2. How long would a can of butane last? I know that one filling would last for approx. 2 hrs. I am just trying to figure out how much butane I would be buying.

3. Does it give a hit similar to an analog? Is it satisfying?

Thanks to anyone who responds!!

Hi Bill

Using leaf tobacco in the Iolite is more like pipe smoking than cigarette smoking. A small pinch of baccy will last about 10 minutes, then you want to empty it before your next session IMHO. For more throat hit and buzz you can add more than a pinch of baccy, but I haven't personally tried filling the bowl right up and leaving it in there for multiple vapes. It never occurred to me :)

The butane lasts one hour per ml so if you are using a 250ml can, that should last you 250 hours. However it does depend on the length of your sessions as the first 30 seconds after turn on it burns more butane than in the next 10 or 15 minutes. So lots of short sessions will mean the butane would last you half as long. But it is still a long time on a can. The unit holds 3.6ml and on average this lasts about 2.5 hours of constant vaping I would say before you have to refill the butane from the can. I work 11 hours per fay and one fill lasts me until I get home in the evening.

Whether it is as satisfyin is a personal thing. It is different to smoking but I find it more satisfying and comforting than an ecig. It is cheap to run, has a long warranty and tobacco is readily available everywhere. The vaped tobacco flavour is different to smoking, it is a more woody, almost chocolate taste. You can also experiment with flavoured pipe tobacco if you want to spice the flavour up a little.

Hope this helps

Andy
