There were a couple of descent DIY eliquid calculators in the App Store; but nothing comprehensive that seemed to suite my needs. I ended up writing my own and a just submitted it to the App Store. It should hopefully be approved in the next week or two.

In the mean time, thought it would be nice to post a link to my app website. Thought I'd get some early feedback from everyone:

eJuicer | GenerationFoul

I'll post back when it's available and see if anyone wants to provide some hands on reviews.

thanks!

That's awesome. I will have to download it once available. I don't DIY yet but someday I will. Is it going to be free or paid?

Free but with the usual small banner ad.

I've got a few phase II ideas but wanted to get some hands on feedback before I do anymore work on it. Here are my thoughts:

  • Ability to email or text a recipe
  • integration with an existing recipe site or I'll stand up my own DB to support sharing of recipes
  • icloud of course to sync between devices
  • ipad version
  • ability to add images that could be used in the list view
  • search for those that have hundreds of recipes

I'm sure I could go on but those are the more obvious enhancements.

Sorry to jump off topic but how does someone even create an app. Do you do it yourself or have a company build it?

Spend high school and college in your room writing programs because it's fun!?!? Something like that. You can actually higher someone off shore. However, I'm my case, the wife was out of town and I didn't want to do the laundry :)

I have Liquix on my tablet and I love it. It lets me save my recipes and stores all my flavorings and bases.

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xpressive.Liquix

iOs: https://itunes.apple.com/om/app/liquix-e-liquid-calculator/id515326978?mt=8

I'm definitely one to give credit where credit is due. This app looks really solid. My niche is the io7 interface. This app looks pretty heavy on custom UI which generally gets in the way and can be buggy. The app got mixed reviews no pun intended. It's definitely great to see the DIY community get some mobile apps. There are 3 things in life you can count on: death, taxes, people with phones in there hands. Life is splendid :)
