My bigger gripe is why in the name of all that's holy did they set the max R to 0.3 on a device that supports Ti?!? Absolutely ludicrous! For Ni it doesn't matter but with Ti, 0.3 ohms is easily reached. Has anyone tested the limit with Ti? I haven't had time yet but will over the weekend!

Ps sorry for being grumpy @crxess :(

It's partly to justify the higher cost of the 330 and 350 boards, and partly just plain cost savings, they can get by with less expensive bits, and when you're cranking them out in the hundreds of thousands, that turns into real money, real quick. There's a reason this thing is only $45.

At least they provided a nice low 0.05 limit so you can use 28 or 26ga Ni200 in a wider range of attys.

My point about the 0.3 limit was just a comment more than anything. I knew it was the case so I can't really complain but given the explicit support for Ti - which for some is a major selling point - to set it up like that is pretty dumb. Oh well. It's still a nice little mod for sure!!

Mine showed up :w00t: tiny sucker. I got a sleeve with mine came on it already. I ordered a HE4 along with it and got a 25R instead I guess thats ok? Ive been running on a stash of vtc4's and HE2's for awhile so ill see how it holds up. Anyone use the onboard charger im testing it out right now lol.

I'd just clip a length of Ti long enough and do some testing. No coil wrapping necessary for confirmation.
We have found discrepancies in the past. :D

i've been using mine with .8 to 1.0 Ti coils and it seems to be working fine

My Lemo Drop is being a son of a b...h with any sort of TC build. The set resistance will not sit still. Put the tank on the D2, set the resistance, or at least try to, no good. While holding the up and down buttons, if I tap the mod the resistance changes. Only does it with my drop tho.

I've had that problem with every TC mod I've owned with the lemo drop. The fixes are more like ghetto rigging and don't always work and require frequent fiddling in my experience. This issue has been remedied with the lemo 2.

I used to be quite fond of the lemos but after the leaking problems I had with the 2 and the barely adequate top fill on it, I prefer other tanks. Even after dremeling the chimney where the juice holes are to increase juice flow.

Mine does the same thing. tap and resistance changes, but it has happened on 2 different RDAs so far that I have tested

Yep. I even took an old 18k gold earing and cut, flattened a tiny piece to put between the positive post at the bottom where it UN screws. No dice. I tore out the TC build and put in a kanthal build.

Any suggestions for a dripper TC set up? I have a Origen, 454 and a tugboat. Only have 28g ni200 on hand right now so maybe dual coils are not possible.
Why you saying that? I'm running Dual Ni200 coils in an Orchid tank.
.07 is the same whether in an RTA or RDA.

Ok ill try it thanks. I keep reading you have to use 30g.

With a DNA40 or clone, yeah, you'd likely need 30ga to be able to fit a dual coil build inside a 22mm atty, because of the 0.1 ohm low limit. And even if you had an atty that you could comfortably fit a 0.1 ohm dual 28g or 26g build in (like the Velocity), the coil mass of one of those 14-22 wrap (per coil) monsters results in a really slow ramp up time, and in the case of 26ga, it's not even what I'd call usable.

But thanks to Yihi, that low limit is 0.05 ohms, which means you need half the wraps, half the space, and on top of that, now you've got at least 20% more power to throw at the coils to help ramp up times.

And the qualitative difference between a good 26ga or 28ga Ni200 build compared to using 30ga is tangible. The thicker wire has more surface area, and that results in better flavor and a smoother vape, IMHO, at any resistance, provided you can put enough power to the coils. Not to mention how much less of a pain the thicker nickel is to work with. :)

No complaints about my 25r. It's a very popular and reliable battery. And you should get 28g ni200. About 7 or 8 wraps gets you to .1ohm. .05 if you make duals which I'm considering doing
