Dear all , a very good day to all and i hope that my message finds everyone in good health and happily vaping their ipv D2's .
I do have one smalll question and would highly appreciate and answer / input on this one .

does the D2 have a " cutoff " as in .. when firing an atty , does it cut off automatically after 10 or 15 seconds !!

Highly appreciate your input and help .

thank you in advance .
Best wishes

Yes, but it far predates Evolve. And the rattlesnake only appears at low frequency switching.

Did y'all know that little cig-alike Joye 510s and Joye eGos were using PWM switched mode regulation before 2010?
I always thought that Evolve were the first to release a flat signal dc/dc converter. That little board they made before the Darwin, I cant remember what it was called. I did know that PWM has been around since the beginnings of regulation that we know today. And here we are all talking about a awesome little mod from PFY that uses PWM to control temperature. Step back in time I guess or we never went forward lol.

Woooh and please slow down Scott.
I am an ex-pack and 1/2-2 Pack a day red's smoker.....45+ years.
Trust me, it IS whatever works for YOU
NOT
What you think everyone else needs.
I might have stayed on my Ego/T3 tanks for years, but I like to play around and got interested in other devices.
I could have easily stayed with the Kayfuns and my Mech mods, but as Above - Interest.
None of my advancements have had anything to do with NEED since the Ego's.
I have also cut all my vaping to 3mg or less.

Again, What ever works for YOU.

Mechs required Low ohm builds to function adequately. People became accustomed and seem to be unable to break the beliet you need olw resistance coils to get a warm vape.
Regulated mods are here to prove that theory wrong.
Any build from Sub ohm to 3ohm and more can be controlled by properly designed regulated mods.
Imagine a coil with 12-16 wraps, heating Quick and Vaporizing smooth as silk.
Almost IMPOSSIBLE in a Sub-ohm Mechanical Mod but simple on a Regulated mod.

I vaped high voltage for a long long time. And I still do, one of my favorite mods is a Raptor I built myself. Nothing better than vaping on a Raptor or OKR at 5 or 6 volts. This was the norm when the term Mod became a word. Everyone vaped high voltage and it was awesome! It seems silly to me to run a regulated mod under 4 volts sometimes near 3 volts when I have 6.0 7.0 and 9.5v available from my mods I have in front of me right now! People dont get it. Your mod can crank out some serious high voltage, but somehow they want to vape at 3.5 volts lol :confused::confused::confused:(scratches head)

Why are some flavors better at the higher ohm and what wattage do you people throw at kayfuns at that reistance? I really am curious and trying to learn more. People always say to not sub ohm in kayfuns too

I use Kayfuns pretty much exclusively, I've tried most everything and always end up with a KF back in hand...I've tried virtually every sort of build in all 5 of them...the most satisfying vape and one that emulates a cigarette very well, .75ohm, 26ga, 2.5mm, 8 wrap using cellucotton rayon...mouth to lung hits with 18-24mg juice produces thick and an extremely flavorful vape, wattage is set between 23 & 25 watts keeping voltage to 4.2v.

So I have a Lemo and this will most likely not work for TC builds, what kinda rebuildable tanks (RTA) are you all using for this mod? Besides the kanger tank that i know a bunch of people like.

I personally think the Goliath V2 will end up being 1 of the best TC tanks out. It has a 2 post deck that leaves room to do a big single coil build. Oh & the V2 has a prebuilt replaceable coil option.
Here is a pic "The Bloke" posted on another thread...

A few others I know are good or am very confident will be good are the:

Goblin mini
Lemo 2
Smok TFV4
Ubertoot*
Nextgen*

*can confirm with personal experience are awesome in TC.

Im using my kanger rba, 454 big block twisted single coil, and just started doing my origen V2 with dual coils.

Calling it a clone would be going way too far considering the vast differences between them. Placement of the up/down buttons is different. Width of mod is different. No USB port on the D2. Battery cover removes in a different direction. Buttons aren't recessed on the D2. Shape of the body is different. Size, placement, and orientation of the display is different. Really the only thing they have in common is that they are both black.

Not sure how you came up with the "highly derivative" claim. Could you name a single thing other than the color that is the same on both mods?
ummm the 510 connector? ;)

People get it , imo, i think the people that started vaping using high wattage devices and sub ohm tanks don't get it , Phil Busardo still prefers to vape at 15 watts and under on a Kayfun because he has said that gives him the best flavor .

I own a few devices that go 60+ watts and i have tried every build type you could imagine over the years , i still much prefer vaping under 20 watts , usually considerably lower than 20 watts on a Kayfun .

People should vape whatever they feel like vaping , everybody is different , it's OK if it doesn't make sense to others , i don't understand why people insist on following other people on social media sites , makes no sense to me but i tolerate it.

There's waay too many people out there that don't get it. It's all about temperature at the coil. You can achieve the same temperature at the coil with 3 volts or 8 volts, it's all dependent on the resistance of the coil. If people want to apply 8 volts to achieve 450 degrees at the coil, more power to them (see what I did there?). I'll run a 1.2ohm coil, achieve the same temperature, get the exact same vape and only need a single 18650 battery for the entire day.
I think there's a stigma out there where people think if you vape at low wattage you aren't producing vapor, it's flat out wrong. They seem to associate low voltage/wattage to old cartomizers.

Wipe Battery contacts with alcohol.
No problems on the D2 yet, but I get them often on the IPV-mini2. a quick wipe always corrects it.
Ive gotten it once in TC mode, about 1/3 battery life left 475 degrees at 45J. Thats not my normal setting but was playing around with it. Nothing wrong with the battery it just requires allot of amps to run TC im finding out. My VTC4's and this new 25R I dont have any issues I can run them down dry in TC. I got the msg on a VTC5 of all things.

My understanding:
VTC5 is actually 20a battery - Factory Spec.
VTC3/VTC4 are 30a Batteries
