IPV D2 announced.

Heck, could be same in this one too.. honestly I didn't look at it closely to be sure...
I put a nickel coil from Vapor shark in the Atlantis and after pushing the two little buttons to set resistance I noticed the ohms jumping around on my first hit.. ..but the same tank and coil is rock steady on the ipv4 I did for testing...hmmm
I said to heck with TC and installed the Arctic with the .2 ohm coil on the D2.. It hits pretty good so far at 58w in the power mode..
Still learning the in and outs of this little D2 mod.. Lol

Ohms jumping on the Screen is NORMAL once locked in.
SCREEN is Active READING.

Replaceable coil heads may be a bit aggravating. Connection MUST be Rock Solid.

I would meter any failed heads and not toss any still good ones. Try them again and get as tight as possible when installing.

Make sure the Head is contacting the tank Base properly(securely)
The unfortunate - Grommet - design allows a soft contact and possible lose of good contact when installed.(Pin can push up)

The IPV D2 seems to run my tank more consistently when the max temp on the D2 is set pretty high, or at least higher than I would've expected to set it at for low joules use. I'm currently at 440F for just 13.5 joules. I hope that will still prevent the cotton wick from burning, but at 440F I feel like I'm nearly getting dry hits. I dropped it down to 420F at 13 joules, and now vapor has dropped way down again. This temperature control stuff is so confusing. It may not be for me, at least for trying to MTL on a sub ohm tank. Hopefully the Vaporshark ni200 coils in the Mini Nautilus will work out better, but I am not so sure anymore.

IPV V4 is SX330-V4S and the D2 is a revamped SX130 chip I think...something like that anyway lol!!

I've noticed. When I was running my magma I was getting burnt hits and it was running .11 ohms on nickel. Then I really screwed it in flush with the mod and it reads .9 ohms and once I lock it vapes better in tc mode. Vp simply drops off when I need to redrip. So word to the wise. Make sure your atty is flush. Tho I'm sure you all already knew that and I'm a noob

I thought they just meant the coil in the Atty itself. Not atty in the mod. Is it less important for ti?

Once you lock the resistance its locked. Its reading the resistance on the fly and displaying it on the screen. The power is not changing though, you would know it, try running it unlocked and see the difference. Yes make sure the atty is threaded all the way down too cause this will mess with it.

i'm currently using a GG Tilemahos as my atty, and i have 9 wraps of 30 gauge Ti wire with an ID of 2.5mm. it comes up to right about .8 ohm... havent had any issues using this in TC.

Really enjoying this little mod. Seems to be built well, looks great, excellent size, and plenty of power...for most things. What I would really like to see now is a new offering in the same design with dual 18650's in series for 150w. Basically, just make the D2 a little wider and keep the thickness and height the same...

My new tank came in. The Black looks sweet on the D2 and like the low wide profile. I hope to get it in the Ultra Sonic tomorrow and do the build. Also have to do my DIY mixes so it will be a busy day.

Which tank did you get? Post a photo once it's setup. I like the look of my black subtank with black o-ring gaskets on the black D2, mean looking!
