Wrapped coils aren't always the resistance you expect. No problem if your mod can handle them.

What wattage are you at, what vg ratio are you using, and how are you wicking it?
At 20vg you shouldn't be having any issues wicking. Is the wick dry when you pull it apart after you're getting dry hits? If not it could be a hot spot in the coil. I cut my wicks so that they don't touch the base, and fluff the ends and position it so that the juice channel is clear.
I use the delta every day and wick them pretty regularly and never get dry hits unless I'm using 80vg or higher. I am considering dremeling the channels out a little bit, it woked very well on my lemo 2..but I'll probably stick to 60 vg because the flavor is better.
Thanks everyone, i love this forum.... My mod can go to 3.0ohm and im running at 1.37 so im well within the range. I let my e-juice sit for a while and the flavor is back with no dry hits.. I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future..
I've always been against using coil jigs, it just seemed like overkill for me. But I was looking around on ebay for kanthal and came across this ud coil maker and its great. I use micro screw drivers normally but this thing puts out nearly perfect coils. And for 10 bucks it's very well made. So I totally recommend it if you're getting into rebuildables. I do 6 wraps of 24g in my delta that comes out to 0.7.
