Oh ok for some reason I thought the thicker the better taste when vaping at high wattage thanks for clearing it up.

The thicker (VG) ... the more vapor in general. Actually ... PG tends to be a better flavor carrier in many juices. The sweetness of VG can "mute" some flavors. Some studies however have pointed towards VG being an overall healthier vaping liquid. But the studies of e-liquids is still in its' infancy so I'm not making any medical claims by any means.

Bottom line ... you can vape higher VG juices in the latest generations of tanks (subtank included).

Ok thanks so if I did vape 70vg anyone know if the subtank can wick it pretty good? And I'm at 18 mg nic should I drop it down lower or is that only on drippers to?

It will wick it. Whether you need to drop nic is going to be something you and only you can figure out. It primarily depends on the wattage you are vaping and how your body responds.

Yeah like others have said it should wick fine with either of those mixes, and the nic level is personal preference, like I take 24mg to work with me in like my orchid and lemo drop and I drip 18mg while I'm at home or out and about.

I vape mostly 80% VG, sometimes 70% VG and own both the sub tank and Atlantis. Both wick fine in either, just make sure that coil is primed before you vape (don't ask how I know, but I graduated from the college of hard knocks!)

Also, the general consensus is that you should cut your normal nic level in half when sub ohming!

Or try to drip your normal 24mg for more than 2 hits back to back and light your throat and lungs a blaze like I have :D

Okay so I just got my black ipv mini v2 today and have been using it for a little while. First impressions: I like it a lot, the size is really nice and compact, even better fitting than my Cana Dna30, batteries are super easy to swap, the black version doesn't seem to be slippery or anything like people have said about the silver. The buttons feel pretty good and aren't super clicky and loud like my Cana, the menu and button combos are taking a little getting used to, and my only gripe at the moment is I wish I could find a way to flip the screen to read the other way since I'm right handed. Over all though it feels a little heavier than my cana yet sturdy, and at 23W on my dual coil 0.8 ohm build on the freakshow the IPV hits quite a bit better than my cana does at the same 23w and same build, really loving this thing so far!

Edit: The other gripe at the moment is the screen is insanely dim when not firing, I imagine I won't be able to see it out in sunlight

Now that's funny!

..or sad!

I haven't decided which yet!

Yeah it does hit nice! I noticed that even switching from my iPV Mini v1 to the v2 using the same builds and wattages this v2 hits better. Probably has to do with more overhead and the superior chipset!

Hahah it's probably sad but I can handle my throat hit :p and even now at my local shop whenever I ask for 18mg max vg everyone says "damn". Yeah I'm also assuming the better hit is from the better chip and overhead, and I got a new 25r battery for it too so now I have plenty of backups.

I'm curious, what did your local shop charge for that 25R?

I bought the 25r at origin vape along with the ipv so I can't say for sure but I would ballpark $8 or $9 at my local shop, that's around what I paid for my 3000Mah purple efest, I mainly stop there for some juices but sometimes I justify shop markups as extra money for instant shipping and they're cool guys at that shop.

Wow! $8.99 @ Origin, so I bet a local B&M is much more than your estimate. My local shop is between $12 and 15 on most batts. I use illumn.com for batts for flashlights and vape stuff. 25R is $6 there, so I get 2 for the price of 1 at my local B&M. Next time you need a batt, I'd check them out! Fast and not expensive on shipping either, imho.

Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to do that next time. I just ordered it with the ipv so I'd only have to wait for one package and origin has really good customer service in my experience so far. Yeah the price at a local B&M is probably more than I ballparked but sometimes the guys at the shop are feeling nice and hook me up with a litte discount :vapor:

I still like to hang at my local shop and talk and taste... and I like supporting a local shop by spending my $ their sometimes. I tend to buy my mods locally, although I may spend 20-30% more over online prices. This practice proved itself earlier this week when I upgraded to the new iPV Mini II... Luckily I opened it up in the shop and put my batt in and WHAM! The thing had a direct short and started toasting my batt, I didn't even turn it on or place my atty on it yet. The owner replaced it right then and there, but only after he too toasted a batt of his. He thought I had a bad batt... I didn't it was a 2 week old LG.

I sure was glad, yes! Because of this experience I will probably only buy mods in a shop and open and make certain it functions before leaving!

That is why i drove for 10 miles to the closest B&M that sells ipv mini II so that i can check it out first and make sure it is in perfect condition. So does any electrical mod that i will buy in the future lol.

Btw made a good deal on the ipv. 100$ for ipv mini II, LG HE2, and orchid RBA which is a good deal for a B&M price here in Indonesia[emoji4]
