Awesome. I like my STmini quite a bit more than my OG Subtank. The RBA in the mini is especially nice.

No on the MXJO, they are 20amp continuous, 35amp pulse. They just market them in a misleading manner. Plus MXJO doesn't actually make battery cells, they are likely rewrapped LG batteries, they are rewrapped something that is certain.

Stick with your VTC4s, or if you want higher mah, go for a Samsung 25R, or LG HE4 they are about the best high drain 2500mah 18650s available right now.

@ThunderDan Just curious why 20A continuous rating wouldn't be enough? I was planning on running HE2's in mine when it arrives this week, so your post has me a bit concerned. According to steam engine a .2 ohm build at 70W (the max for this devices) is pulling 18.71 amps. While that doesn't leave a lot of head room, it's still within the battery rating. Would that still be an issue?

Yeah, they are fine for this device, and most things. You just have to know they are 20 amp continuous. The guy I was replying to was asking about switching from VTC4s 30amp to the MXJO 20 amp battery, because they market it in a misleading fashion as a 35amp. I just wanted to make him aware of that so he didn't treat it as a 35amp continuous battery.

20 amp 2500mah batteries are great for a mini II.

I've had great luck with my Sammy 25R's in my Mini's.

Was that a metaphor?

I have forgotten what one of those is. I am certain it was a statement though.:)
I have had no trouble with efest battery. I have nothing to compare it to and don't use mechs. There was one instance that my mini gave me the check battery warning. I was well below half charge and set at 50 watts I believe, maybe higher. At any rate, the safety features of my mini 2 prevented me from over drawing my weak battery...Or whatever it's called when you try to push it out of its operating range.

I'd grab a decent charger, and try some other batts, ability to swap batts is a huge advantage of the mini!

Now that I know there are replacement battery caps available I will do just that. As a matter of fact, I ordered a sammy along with my two week supply of dripper juice yesterday. By the way my mini 2 has developed a nice patina. I've had it a month today and my old dead ego from 4 years ago looks better! lol. Not going to be able to put off a skin for much longer.

I go thru 2 batts/day, so I have 4 batts in a rotation.

I feel your pain in the patina department... I'll be ordering my skin next month for sure.

I got a picture of it I'm going to upload eventually.

I'm good with one battery a day. Even if I use the mini all day. But, I got a fairly decent twist style battery for free with an order awhile back and have been using that with my kayfunish when I'm not at home and can't drip. Looks like a strange rocket, even with the beauty ring from my nautilus, but it gets the job done!
