Silicon case of the ipv Mini ... friggin SWEET! Although someone might want to tell that maker that the ipv Mini doesn't use a SX350 standard screen. lol

Yeah, the paint is pretty shotty on the ipv Mini line but I'm using my 70watt as a beater mod for work so it doesn't really bother me. I have a J-wrap on mine but the top cap and bottom are still getting chipped like crazy. Eventually I'll just take some polishing sand paper to it and be done.

I'm not sure what you mean by top cap, do you mean where the atomizer you use is leaving marks where you connect it? That's known, but the bottom cap for the battery, you can buy the original battery bottom cap for cheap and a lot of people like it more because it gives a better grip and doesn't chip as much, I'd suggest buying one of those and using it. For the top part where you connect your atomizer, I suggest doing what you said, sand it down and repaint it with a better paint and adding a clear coat.

I wouldn't suggest the silicone case, the jwrap is way better, it doesn't add bulk like the silicone case does, plus it looks way better with the amount of choices you have.

Yeah, I saw that too. I think they would still be OK though.

I'm pretty impressed with the battery life on this thing so far. I put a fresh 18650 (blue Samsung 2500mah) in this morning at about 10:30. It is now 10:40, and I've still got half battery life showing. Admittedly, I'm only running it around 45w, but I've been out and about using just the IPV all day, and I am a fairly heavy vaper. I carried three extras with me out of the house today because I figured this mod would eat batteries.

It may be worth noting the meter allows the battery to get pretty low. I change mine out right around halfway, usually around 3.5-3.6v when I take it out.

I have the same batteries. The 25Rs have always been my battery of choice, I've got 4 in the cycle and another 4 just so I have a little extra more, they seem to work really well with the iPV Mini 2, especially when running from 20-60W

That's good to know. So obviously, it would show no battery once it gets to the safety cutoff, but probably better to swap them earlier to preserve the longevity of the batteries themselves?

I tend to think so, IIRC the low battery cuttoff is 3.2v, which is lower than I like to run my batteries personally. Its still fine, it's just lower than I prefer. Pretty much when I see the battery sag drop to the bottom of the meter, I'll swap out batteries. If I'm vaping at 40-50W that occurs much faster than 20W obviously.

Its just personal preference though, the device won't let you kill a battery by running it too low.

Several people have told me that letting batteries discharge too low (as in, constantly running them until a regulated device says "change the batteries!") is bad for the batteries and lessens their usable lifetime. I guess like most things it is something that varies depending on who you talk to. I think I will err on the side of caution, though, and swap mine out earlier. I've got plenty, and I'd like to keep them working well as long as possible. :)

Batteries these days can be drained down to 2.2 - 2.8 volts without resulting in irreversible cell damage. People recommend changing at 3.6 volts because that is when you are going below it's rated voltage settings, causing slight increases in wear. On the flip side ... charging your battery too early can waste a precious battery cycle resulting in the same wear.

What's the best answer? No one really knows because each and every battery is different. Personally, I've ran down my batteries below 3.6 plenty of time and I get nearly a year of performance out of my batteries. That's about all you can ask for honestly ...

OK, the paint on this mod is ridiculously fragile. I've had mine just a few weeks and it looks like a WW2 relic:( I have a wrap on the way, if USPS ever get it together, but that is not the point. What! we should be glad that the rest of the mod doesn't deteriorate at the same rate? Uh uh, they need to do a better job with the finish on these baby's..really. I hate my stuff looking all scraped up when I am very careful and take good care of it.

Check it out, looks like it's got some disease or something :(
