IPV Mini V2 ???

I wonder if the silver is just as bad, probably doesn't show up as much as it does on the black one. Now I'm thinking whenever someone decides to peel a skin off the paint will come off with it!
The paint seems to soften, or react badly to e juice which is kinda ironic,lol

Pretty good thought with the paint coming off with a wrap. It makes me consider not putting one on and maybe going for a custom paint job once mine starts to peel. I might have to bust out some plasti-dip. That would certainly help out with the grip issues I'm having.

I'll use the Skinz I ordered and paid for until it looks tatty, then will repaint it. If I decide to repaint , which may be the best option,

I have a suspicion that the aluminium body's condition, prior to painting at the factory, is the cause of the issue. Just like with car bodywork, if the surface to be painted is either damp or contaminated, the paint will come off. My reasoning here is that the side panel where you get access to the inside by removing the hex screws is still perfect. Different part, different storage or better paint...I don't know

Mine is going to pooh all over. I believe it is the particular paint they chose to go with.
Seems to not handle e-liquids well and softens/lifts.

My gun metal Black ones are simply wearing from use.

Sorry to hear that, disappointing isn't it. Between the Magma's and the kayfun 4 clone leaking on mine, it never had a chance.

Hey everybody. I'm considering purchasing an iPV mini v2 70. A couple of questions for all that own one. 1. If you had to do it all over again, would you still buy one? 2. Anyone having peeling issues with the SILVER color iPV mini's?.....and 3. Who has the best price out there now? (70watt) /what vendor do you suggest to purchase one from. Thanks in advance!

Hey Kevin, I guess you haven't read this whole thread, I know...it's kinda hefty But all the answers lie within.

!. Yes, ( interim mod while still waiting for the SXmini 350 M chip to be tested and given a thumbs up)

2. They have the same issue but maybe less so. Someone posted a few pages back and said their's was peeling

3. I forget, price has dropped though to like $60 or less with voucher

Thanks juicy. I did read through some of the thread, but not all. I thought that people were having issues mainly with the black paint, but was wondering how the silver was holding up. My luck, I get the v2.....and then a week or two later, they come out with a Mini v3 that has the SX350 chip in it . OK......I'll go back and do some more reading now .

It is a great lil' mod and i do recommend you get it. Regardless of color you may want to order a wrap to put on it from day 1. The black looks nasty when it blisters away and the Silver is a slippery eel..great choices from Pioneer 4 U, They are cheapish so you won't regret getting one and can always sell it off laterZ.

Nope, thought it over and decided they are earned battle scares.
If The 70w isn't in hand working its self silly, it's getting knocked over from kids/dogs. Still a Timex inspired piece!

Is the v1 (30 watt) and the v2 the same size? Some places have wraps for the v1, and they don't say anything about them fitting the v2.

Pulled the trigger. iPV mini 2 in black.....black carbon fiber wrap for it.....and a couple of Samsung 25r's and LG HE4's for it too .

Good idea on the wrap with the black model. My Mini version 1 is black and looks like ..., whereas my silver mini 2 looks great still.

very good on the wrap. Mine looks like hell already but still works fantastic. Atleast I got the go ahead for a istick 50 from the warden due to the cosmetic flaw.

I told them that I love my IPV mini, but that everyone knows that the paint on the black unit is not so great, and many people are clamoring for a silicone case like the shark skin and the one for the sigeli. I sent them the link to the alibaba listing for silicone cases, told them that so far no US vendors are stocking them, and that they could probably make some money and make some vapers really happy if they were the first to stock the cases.

Within 15 minutes I had a reply. The rep thanked me for bringing it to their attention, and told me that eciggity would be stocking silicone cases for the IPV mini in April!!

Realistically, it is pretty likely that they were already planning to and that I am not a special snowflake. Still and all, I'm pretty excited. I'll post the link to this thread when and if I see them show up on the site.

Hopefully the ones eciggity gets have the correct cutout for the screen.

I messaged the vendor you linked on alibaba and they wanted $50 shipped for 10, not bad, but the screen cutout wasn't right so I didn't bother.

I saw those on Alibaba too, right before I placed my iPV mini 2 order. It'd be cool if Eciggity sent ya one when they get them, for pointing it out to them .
